Has anyone heard of the movement known as National Bolshevism and the National Bolsheviks?

They appear very anti-American, anti-capitalist, also anti-Gorbachev, but there's something in their name, and their version of the hammer and sickle, that unsettles me.

Any extra information on the 'Nazbols', as they are called for short, would be much appreciated and feel more than welcome to include your own opinions on them.
Do you hear the people sing, singing the song of angry men?,
It is the music of a people, who will not be slaves again...

    Yes I've heard of National-Bolshevism.

Here's an essay all about them: National-Bolshevism: Fascism with a cute mask.

Their symbols are very similar to NAZI symbols, in fact, if you replace The Hackenkreuz with a Hammer and Sickle on any NAZI propaganda piece, you get a Nazbol symbol. They, much like their NAZI Bretheren, call for the extermination or opression of Minorities.

    EDIT: They also support Putin.

I don't think they support Putin, as they have quite a bit of propaganda depicting him in humorous ways.

    But who knows...

As for exterminating immigrants and stuff like that, they don't seem to have racial theories, but again who knows.

They also claim to have Jews on their central committee, but I have seen Nazbol propaganda with "The Jews must die" in Latin.

Essentially, they admit that their ideas are irrational. They say something like "Irrational times call for irrational ideas".

They are essentially "third positionists". They believe their idealogy to be a "mix" of communism and fascism. They like Strasser and the pre-Hitler brownshirts. They also seem to like Mussolini.

They are pretty big in Russia, and can bring thousands of youth out to conventions at times.

They pull some of their ideas from Orwell's 1984, i.e. they seem to think of the world split in to three (Oceania, Eastasia and Eurasia.). They call Britain "Airstrip 1".
