Lunchtime protest: Demand that NSW Premier Iemma opposes the terror laws

the howard government's terror laws will allow detention without trial and control orders that allow house arrest for up to 12 months. the laws also expand the crime of sedition, banning dissent. critics of the government will be silenced with penalties of up to seven years imprisonment and media outlets which report their views could face charges as well. for more info, check this out: http://www.revolutionaryleft.com/ind...howtopic=41813

i don't even know if this protest will be useful, trying to find out what the vibe is around it. normally i'd go and find out there but so much study to be done and plus im getting the feeling that all these demos are burning me out..

oh great, there is a secret terrorist plot that we arent allowede to know about, now the laws will get the support of labor and the states. seems very convenient doesnt it.

the fact that britain already had these sort of laws in place before they got bombed, shows that these laws dont do anything.
