I can honestly say that my time in the US Air Force was a productive experience. It's more than just learning to fight, you learn alot of technical skills and discipline that you can apply to other aspects of your life. If you have a strong enough will and don't give in to the brainwashing, it's really quite simple to remain an individual and stay true to your thoughts and ideals. The military is not full of evil people, in fact the majority of people in my experience do it for the paycheck and the college money. I learned a skill, didn't do anything for them, got out, and now they're paying for my degree. And all you have to do is fake an injury to get a disability check from Uncle Sam every other week. Like I said, a positive experience as long as you know how to pimp the system.
