i read a thesis once about how in confrontational verbal battles, where two people have strong veiws on their own opinion, the first person who begins using curse words has lost the argument because they no longer have the verbal skills to discribe their point of veiw and as a result begin pointlessly filling the void with swear words......

Although I feel that a lot of the time when people use terms like "gay" or "fag" they don't intentionally mean it as an insult toward homosexuals. As a maoist I want to struggle with donnie_middel1 to look deep at the comment that he/she made and recognize the derogatory and anti-people stand reflected in the term "fagget". This is unacceptable coming from communists!
Secondly I would encourage all those who are down with communism to not be red-baited by those anarchists and others who do nothing more than throw out one sentence sectarianism. (This is not to slam all anarchists or others, just those that are unable to engage in any line struggle) They may be unprincipled, but communists should be communists regardless, maintaining a high and lofty stand and a principled and disciplined response.
They expose their low-level of political understanding. We do not need need to go on the defensive, they expose themselves!

The one sentence sectarian comments are themselves sectarian! They do not provoke sectarianism, they are sectarian. And where these comments can be found is whereever a Maoist posts on this board, including this thread. The truth is that some of the people on this board attempt to us sectarianism and red-baiting as tactics to descredit anything (no matter what it is) that is said by people who defend communism.

If donnie cannot take a couple of minor (irrational) criticisms then he's in the wrong place. There are a lot of Anarchists here, and even the socialist users express a dislike for Stalinists. At the moment, we put up with them, doesn't take much for them to get a ban.
That said, there are Stalinists in the CC, who mostly co-operate quite well with the Anarchists here.
