Atlanta RCYB takes up the call to spread Revolution to the campuses!

All students, teachers, campus workers and revolutionary activists should get involved in this effort!

If you are in the Georgia area and want to be a part of this effort get in touch at [email protected]

The following is from this weeks Revolution newspaper:
    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Back to School…Welcome to the Revolution!

Important "back-to- school" message to all students, teachers, campus workers and revolutionary activists:
    SPREAD REVOLUTION ON THE CAMPUSES!

Our next issue of REVOLUTION will be a special issue.

Our goal: Build a communist movement on the campuses and, with that at the core, a huge network of students who can know the world and act together to change it. At a time when young Republi-fascists are running amok on campus, put the most radical paper in the country at the heart of the debate.

Our plan: start by distributing 100,000 copies of this special issue of REVOLUTION, from community colleges to elite universities and everywhere in between. Win over new distributors, correspondents, subscribers and sustainers. Develop the network. Make the paper a lifeline of revolutionary thinking and revolutionary political action for thousands of students.

The special issue will introduce students and teachers to the body of work of Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, and will also spread the word on the November 2 mobilization to Drive Out the Bush Regime!

To make this great and crucial beginning, we need the support of you, our readers.
    What You Can Do:

One, hook up with a distribution team in your area, or get a whole bunch of papers and get them out to every campus you know. Order your bundles now by calling or writing RCP Publications Public Relations at:
    P.O. Box 3486
    Merchandise Mart
    Chicago, IL 60654, 773-227-4066
    [email protected].

Two, donate money to help this effort, which includes printing and shipping 100,000 copies.

If you are a student, get Revolution out on your campus. If you are a teacher or professor, buy enough for your whole class.

Spread REVOLUTION to campus, and spread the revolution.

though I am usually not one to feed trolls, I can't resist!

I came onto this board because of its reputation for thinking radicals who are not about trying to suppress differing opinions. Low and behold I am greeted with labelling, calls to "go away", and told that no one will listen because I am a revolutionary communist!

In the future that revolutionary communists (and yes, that Bob Avakian) envision there will be dissent and struggle over the actually issues, on a lofty and profound level.

Following the methodology put forward by "Anarchist Freedom" we should not dare envision such a society, differing opinions should be crudely insulted and dismissed off-hand as unimportant.

One of many reason why I am down with the leadership Bob Avakian and not with the leadership of "Anarchist Freedom"

atlanta person off now on put this in propaganda booth, where it belongs.
Let no one charge that socialists have arrayed class against class in this struggle. That has been done long since in the evolution of capitalist society. One class is small and rich and the other large and poor....One consists of capitalists and the other of workers. These two classes are at war. Every day of peace is at the expense of labor. There can be no peace and good will between these two essentially antagonistic economic classes. - Debs

why can`t the cpusa do this sort of thing?
We are monopolists in the field of politics. We can't stand any competition. We can tolerate no rivals. The working class, to make the revolution can do it only through one party and one program. This is the lesson of the Russian Revolution. That is the lesson of all history since the October Revolution.” -James P. Cannon.

I applaud the RCYB. They are actually doing something.

But I don't agree with their stance.

As school for me starts this Friday, I shall be starting a chapter of an Anarcho-Communist esque group of direct action kids.

But at least the RCYB is doing stuff like this, and has reasonable numbers to accomplish this.
He who was previously the money-owner now strides out in front as a capitalist; the possessor of labour-power follows as his worker. The one smirks self-importantly and is intent on business; the other is timid and holds back, like someone who has brought his own hide to market and now has nothing else to expect but - a good tanning. - Karl Marx, Capital Volume I

I don't really have time to reply right now fully, but a quick paste to "answer" the question of five reasons to get down. This is more in line with getting down with the RCYB, as it is the RCYBs principles of unity, but at the same time it reflects on other things. The points in here do reflect the line of the RCP. but keep in mind this is only a few (though mor than 5) of the reasons to get down with the RCP and the RCYB.
    _______________________________
    RCYB Principles of Unity

We are the Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigade. We are living, fighting, and putting it all on the line for a better world, a world of for-real Communism. A world where a few rich nations don’t oppress and dominate the globe; where whites don’t lord over non-whites; where men don’t dominate over women; and where one class of people doesn’t exploit the rest. We are fighting to break all the chains that hold our people back. We refuse to accept the oppressor’s view of our youth.

Our ideology is that of the proletariat — those who have nothing to lose but our chains, and we are fighting for the wretched to be wretched no more. To free the Earth we need a revolution. We need power.

Today we fight the power and get ready to seize the power through mass armed revolution. The RCYB is the youth group of the Revolutionary Communist Party, the vanguard of the revolutionary movement in the U.S. and a participant in the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement. We love the people and we serve the people. There is no greater love than that.

Members of the RCYB grapple with and fight for these Principles of Unity:

    1. Proletarian revolution is the only solution. A revolution of the proletariat (those with nothing to lose but our chains), the dictatorship of the proletariat and worldwide Communism is the only solution to this madness. It is the only future worth fighting for.
    2. Proletarian internationalism is the outlook of those with nothing to lose, all over the world. The USA is not our country. Our flag is the red flag of world revolution. We oppose wars of plunder by the imperialists and reactionaries and welcome their defeat at the hands of the people. Even if there is a war between the U.S. and any other imperialist power, we have no interest in the victory of any of these gangsters. We welcome the defeats suffered by “our own” rulers; and will use such defeats, which weaken our oppressor, to prepare for revolution. We support revolutionary struggle in every country.
    3. Revolutionary people’s war, when a revolutionary situation develops, is the only way to overthrow this system. “…Revolutionary war is a war of the masses. It can only be waged by mobilizing the masses and relying on them.” (Mao Tsetung)
    4. Continuing the revolution after the seizure of power is the way to prevent the rise to power of a new bourgeoisie. Phony communists (revisionists) have seized power back from the people in the Soviet Union and China. The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution led by Mao Tsetung was a revolution within a revolution. It showed the way for the people to prevent the restoration of capitalism.
    5. We study Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the most radical and liberating ideology on the planet. It is our science, our weapon, our guide. “Without revolutionary theory, there can be no revolutionary movement.” (Lenin)

The points I posted above do not reflect rhetoric (in the negative way 'rhetoric' has come to imply). I am uncertain what commie rat means when they say "what its contributing to the movement," especially since it is unclear what "movement" they are talking about. The post above reflects the basic principles of political and ideological unity for members of the RCYB. If someone is in the RCYB, then you know that this is their stand. However I would say that the RCYB and the RCP contribute greatly to developing a communist movement.
