question about fascists

why do these obviously right-wing extremists pick left-sounding names for their name then attach "national" to the beginning. Why don't they call themselves what they are FASCISTS.

for example:

Nazi is an abbreviation for "National Socialist German Workers Party"
Official ideology of Franco's Spanish state was "National Syndicalism"


are they jealous of the names of our ideologies? Did the Nazis use these names to try to gain trust with the german people, who the majority of which had socialist tendencies? this is really puzzling...

I think if they came out and called themselves "fascists" it wouldn't get them much support. But calling themselves something that makes them seems Leftist DOES do something for their popularity.

The title, National Socialist Party in Germany was inteded to gain the support of the working class. Hitlers politics managed to pull Germany out of a major depression and he understood the importance of the working class, unfortunately he didn't respect them. Fascism as it is, is based in feirce nationalism and requires the popular support of the country, this was achieved through a bit of cunfusion with titles, but the rights of the masses were shortly abandoned and the reign of hate came soon there-after.

Fascism co-opts socialist phrases and imagery to try and make an impact in the more reactionary sections of the working class. It poses itself as anti-capitalist and anti the system in order to seem radical. The BNP in the UK calls itself "The UKs only non-Marxist Socialist party"

Holy shit, National Anarchists, I talked to a guy online before who considered himself a National Anarchist.

Apparently they don't know, "what the fuck" is "going on".

I recently read an article on fascism. And they commonly use Leftists names, because putting National at the front attracts fascists, and if the media hates them it sounds like they hate Leftist organizations.

They kill dos birds, with uno stone.

originally, as others have pointed out, Hitler used 'Socialist' in the Nazi name simply to atract support from the working class. Also, these new groups tend tos imply pick any names they can which both promote 'nationalism' but avoid as many connatations with 'facism' as possible. National Syndicalism wasn't just some left wing thing with national added to it. It was an economic system based on Syndicalism, but on a National level.

Though I don't care for clearly Fascist partioes doing this...they should be PROUD that they are Fascists...even if it means failure.

The leader of the Brown shirts, the original nazi stormtroopers, was a gay socialist. People like him were needed to recruit in the heavily organized and left leaning german working class.

Once they got big enough they had the "night of the long knives" where the leadership purged all the now unessesary "undesirables" and replaced them with memebrs more "in with the real program". The brownshirts were completely replaced with the blackshirts.

Lesson to thoes foolish enough to think that you can be facists and into counter culture type things(ie skinheads and artists and "experimental musicians", ie metal"), once they have used U they will dispose of you, only after us will you be in line for extermination.

How come they can't be both? How do they contradict each other?
Socialism is communism only economically, how come that cannot be done in a Fascist state?

For the financial problem: We demand:

a) A strong progressive tax on capital that will truly expropriate a portion of all wealth.

b) The seizure of all the possessions of the religious congregations and the abolition of all the bishoprics, which constitute an enormous liability on the Nation and on the privileges of the poor.

c) The revision of all military contracts and the seizure of 85 percent of the profits therein.
