Recently the local Leftist organization which I started two years ago has been posting posters with short phrases on. They don't give a name or anything. (it keeps changing anyway, what's the point of a name as long as you know what you stand for?) We have been deciding on making them like random thoughts to get people thinking. We've just started so we are not sure on the results yet, but we'll soon find out hopefully.
The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them.- Karl Marx
Keep up the very good Work comrade.

Well, one of our guys works at the local theme park. He was there to pick up his check, and he walked over to the one brochure holders and stuck a couple pamphlets in. I mentioned the napkin dispensor idea to him, so tonight at his other job he's going to try that.

interesting. I've been doing similar things in the past, though I feel it needs to be linked at some point to an organised campaign. That said it might very well help people think about themselves in relation to capitalism.
Let us know how it goes.

I'll need to have him scan them and send to me, but I believe that can be done. Normally I do the artwork, but he's got some good ideas, so I gave the plan to him. We have two basic types- one has a picture and the other is just the words, with the idea that the person can make their own mental picture.
Here are the phrases/questions-
America works on the golden rule, he who has the gold makes the rules.
Who is worth more Bush or Kerry? answer: Kerry.....So does anybody really represent you?
Do women really have equal rights?
Is it fair that men behind desks make more than people who risk their lives fighting the wars on the streets? *note- on the East Coast many EMS personelle (who are actually closer to doctors than nurses) are being forced to go onto food stamps. (Ed Rendell has been trying to cut EMS funding by 2 million, and meanwhile has been increasing the pay for himself and others in his cabinet) I have an editorial on the EMS problem if anyone wants to read it, I might post it*

Should lazy people get the same wages and benefits as hard workers?

The rich are getting richer as the poor are getting poorer.

I really like these quotes.
"We are now becoming a mass party all at once, changing abruptly to an open organisation, and it is inevitable that we shall be joined by many who are inconsistent (from the Marxist standpoint), perhaps we shall be joined even by some Christian elements, and even by some mystics. We have sound stomachs and we are rock-like Marxists. We shall digest those inconsistent elements. Freedom of thought and freedom of criticism within the Party will never make us forget about the freedom of organising people into those voluntary associations known as parties."

i think you should change it to, From each according to one's abilities, to each according to one's needs, especially since you have another quote about female equality
and the lazy worker one, idk if its just me but that seems like, cut welfare. i dont think this quote is necessary yet seeing as we dont own the workplace, so therfore lazyiness isnt really unexceptable but predictable in these present work conditions.
My group is generally anti-welfare, unless there is absolutely no other choice. (The person has a terrible disease) In fact, we live in the same general area and know of one family who has absolutely no reason to be on welfare and they are getting above and beyond what somebody with a serious problem gets. There are people dying in total poverty while these people keep getting free-everything. On top of that, they are strong supporters of the Klan and Neo-Nazis. We believe welfare is being abused.
However, this more so relates to wealthy people who are rich through inheritance or manage to get a job in a family business where they rarely have to even lift a pen. (I know a couple of these people as well)
Locally the quote fits in. I am aware that in other areas it may not be the case.

Let's see the pamphlets!
I like some of your quotes but am rather disgusted by the fact that you over-generalize welfare based on your observations of it in your community. If you wish to take a firm stance on it then please do some sociological studies/readings and find out the facts, not just the groups opinions. Furthermore, I find it rather egocentric and anti-leftist that you, in your opening, owuld take credit for starting the group. Was this pat on your own back necessary?
