I have this friend that was a foreign exchange student from germany and he claims hes a national socialist but I know him really well, and I know hes not a nazi because hes not racist or evil, he hates bush, and he just wants what is good for his country. he believes its through fascism. What is the best way to convince him that it is through communism?

The first step might be to just find out why he wants to call himself a "National Socialist".
What is it about the Nazi era that appeals to him?
Has he actually read Mein Kampf or other Nazi literature?
If he is just "playing with fascism" (some adolescents do), then you might have to just wait for him to "grow up" a little.
On the other hand, if he's actually knowledgeable about fascist ideas, then I'm afraid there's not much you can do. There are lots of well-written books critical of fascism...but he'll probably refuse to read them.

First off, if he is interested in what's good for his country, I think it would be possible for you to sway him to a more sweeping view; what is good for his global community. Hating Bush is a good thing, since you could show him that Bush is much more similar to fascism that he would have thought.
Also, I would recommend getting him to read Mein Kampf. This will probably open his eyes to the true nature of National Socialism. Explain to him how communism benefits all, and how much better off we will be with that type of society, rather than a fascist dictatorship where ethnic minorities are scapegoats for all of our ills.
