I noticed there seems to be an unfair amount of criticism of Christianity on this site. Im no fan of Christianity myself, and i believe it deserves the criticism it gets, however i believe other religions, most notably Islam and Judaism, deserve an equal amount of attention.
The reason that there is more critisism of Christianity than other religions is simply that most posters to this board live in countries where Christianity is dominant.
Therefore not only are they more familiar with it, but also it is far more of a threat. Muslim extermism is not really a problem in US politics, but Christian extremism certainlt is!
I'm sure that if we had more posters from Saudi Arabai, we'd see more critisism of Islam.
It's that simple.
but i think the focus has now shifted to Islam. After all, it is the Islamic fundamentalists who are the "enemy" in the so-called War on Terror.
Yeah, but since we all know that the "War on Terror" is just bullshit repackaged imperialism ...so who gives a fuck who the "enemy" is?
"Christian fundamentalists believe the world was created in 6 days
...and believe in theocracy; repression; economic disparity; racism; sexism; homophobia; heterosexism; heteronormativity; outlawing abortion, birth control, privacy rights, individual liberties, and civil rights; and imposing their beliefs on everyone else.
Oh, and instead of "crashing planes into buildings", they obliterate cities.
Much better...
I'd love to change the world, but I don't know what to do, so I leave it up to you...
