What do you guys think about this? Do you believe in God? Do you think we are living in the end of times? I been reading some biblical passages and it seems something is about to happen in the next couple of years.

Revalations 21:16-19....
And so did paul turn to the heavens upon the mountin and say to the lord. Lord of sky and earth, creater of life and ever lasting love. Father of man and king of heavon....When will the toons win the premiership? and god saideth to Paul "my child, be patient, for the last year of saint Alans career shall end in he of the head of hatred and the scottish accent lifting the holy grail and saying....."wah-hey the lads"
No joke thats what it says....in my bible
Something is always "about to happen".
Count on it...history is full of things that "happen".
You may also count on the fact that charlatans will "interpret" every event as a "fulfillment" of "Biblical prophesy".
This racket has been going on a long time; the earliest portions of the "Book of Revelations" are thought to date from 69-70CE (the Roman Emperor Nero was the first "anti-Christ"), though it did not reach its final form until 90-100CE. The book was very nearly not included in the "New Testament" at all.
You should not take this superstitious drivel seriously; it is complete and utter bullshit.

Hey redstar I don't mean to preach you or something but I would very much like your opinion on this biblical pasage: Daniel 7.1-28 If you read it please tell me what you think it means, also do you believe in prophesies my friend?
The "Book of Daniel", much like the "Book of Revelations", barely "made the cut" for inclusion into the Jewish Torah...it is very late (150BCE?).
It describes -- "in prophetic language" -- the rise of Seleucid empire (one of the successor kingdoms to the empire of Alexander the Great) and its oppression of the Jews in Palestine. As all such books do, it promises deliverance from the oppressors. (The "horns" refer, I believe, to particular Seleucid kings.)

It does not "mean" anything now, of course.
And no, of course I do not believe in "prophesies" -- they are always frauds.

Cm'n this has been happeing all through history. Every fifty years, another bunch of Christian loonies think it's the end of time and that they will finally be be ridden of the heathens. I present to you: 2000. The Christians whined that it was the end of time and that I would meet my fate. I laughed at them and guess who is the one still laughing![]()
Let no one charge that socialists have arrayed class against class in this struggle. That has been done long since in the evolution of capitalist society. One class is small and rich and the other large and poor....One consists of capitalists and the other of workers. These two classes are at war. Every day of peace is at the expense of labor. There can be no peace and good will between these two essentially antagonistic economic classes. - Debs
Wow, if your bible said it then it must be true, right Jesus..., hey, were'd he go? We'll give him another 2000...

Okay, here are some myths:
"Every single religion preaches an end date"
All religions that spawned from Judism do
The Norse did
Zorroastrianism
A few more
"Mayanism preaches the end of times on December 21st 2012"
The Mayan Calander is circular, not linear, on that date, the calander simply begins again, many different interpretations can stem from that.
"All that was prophecized in the Bible as tell-tale signs of the End of Times have come to pass"
They've come to pass in different metaphors and interpretations 100 times over. Hitler followed many of the traits of an anti-christ, the black death followed many traits of the red horsemen. The apache helicoptor follows many traits of one of the great beasts that would surface.
Bottom-line: When John on his island wrote the revelation, it was a time when Christians were being prosecuted, and he was trying to restore hope to the followers. he succeeded, but that doesn't mean there's any truth to what he said.
There is no right or wrong, there's radicalism and progress.
Sweet, elaborate?
There's a book about the end of time in which the author depicted many of the different beasts that would surface as the different pieces of technology that are emerging, and there was one beast that flew fast as (something) one 4 wings, breathed down hell fire and death. The four wings are each of the blades of the propeller, the breathing down hell fire and death are the missiles it fires, and apaches are pretty damned fast.
