Basically here is the situation. Newcastle NSW Australia have been accepting Sudanese refugees, Newcastle accepted some more this month. The community has reached 500.

First i would like to mention that they have had problems of their own. The young Sudanese males have recently been in trouble with assulat charges, i don't know the circumstances of this assualts. Then there was accusations about a gang of Sudanese trying to rape a girl, the mothers said they drove around and caught one and waited for the police to come. The newspaper said things haven't been confirmed by police and the Sudanese church said they haven't heard anything about it. Then there was another violent incident were teh Sudanese community had some meeting to discuss things and a verbal fight broke out with death threats. Some people say it was Islam and Christain leadership.

I can not confirm anything and everything is vague.

had a demostration last weekend on the 23rd. The addressed a small crowd which was outnumbered by counter demostration. This was organised by the Socialist Alliance youth wing Resistence.
