A BATTLE FOR HEARTS AND MINDS
News Flash: Apparently, normally mundane activities such as worshipping Rudolph Hess can be made more appealing if supported by a few badly played power chords.
In September 2004 a fascist record label in the United States claimed to be producing 100,000 CD samplers of 'white power music' for concentrated distribution throughout disaffected white communities across America - from coast to coast, in every state. These CDs are to be handed out in middle schools, high schools, university campuses, shopping malls, sporting events, mainstream concerts, parties, and via direct-mail schemes.
Although the concept of grown men skulking around schoolyards is disturbing enough on its own, the express aim of the propaganda drop is to lure white youth 'between the ages of 13-19' into the fascist movement. They have a name for their initiative: 'Project Schoolyard USA'. According to their own estimate, 20,000 CDs have already been pressed and shipped, while an additional 20,000 are reportedly on the way. As expected (and eagerly anticipated by the fascists), the hysterical media and liberal lobby machines have gone into overdrive hyping the situation, inadvertently adding fuel to the fire. The negative yet newsworthy representation of 'skinheads' is on the upswing again.
Fact is, these fascists aren't proper skinheads at all. They exhibit no lineage to the traditional merits of true skinhead culture, one that is rooted in working class pride and ethics that vehemently reject prejudice. Anti-fascists commonly refer to the fascist variety of the shaven crop as 'boneheads'. They've got nothing on real skinheads and hardcore kids of the street. Ultimately, they are the enemy of anyone who cares about the welfare of their scene and broader community.
To this effect, Insurgence has set up its own project to combat the influence of their opportunistic bullshit: Project Boneyard USA. The aim is to counter the cancerous quick-fix ideas and selfish motives of these sideshow hucksters. We're motivated to take action here, not simply because they sully the name of real skinheads in their bid for mainstream acceptance, but because they push their empty-headed propaganda on disenfranchised white kids. This social group is OUR natural constituency - not theirs.
We call on real skinheads and anti-fascists everywhere to remind these chumps where their place is. In the dustbin of history!
To help mount a counter-campaign in the same areas they are targeting for manipulation, we are offering a free music sampler of 16 tracks, available electronically (Preview the sampler on the Radio.Blog on our front page). Download the relevant materials below and follow the quick and easy instructions to run off copies, all from the convenience of your home! We encourage fans of real street music, concerned individuals and groups in the United States to produce stacks of our sampler to disseminate across the country.
In order to make a serious impact, the project relies solely on street-level promotion. That's where YOU come in! The success of this project will depend on the sheer QUANTITY of CDs we can get into circulation. We need your burning ambition to make this a significant campaign. We need to top the output of the opposition and show them that the kids on the street can think and act for themselves. Send the boneheads and their low-rent racket packing with Project Boneyard USA!

The nazi record label panzerfaust (who set up the Project Schoolyard USA) has now shut down after the label owner was busted for drug dealing.
It now appears that Panzerfaust shut down when the label owners race was questioned.
A white-supremacy record label shuts down after its owner is accused
of being part Mexican.

Panzerfaust, the St. Paul-based white-supremacy record label that made national headlines in the fall, has closed shop over questions of the owner's race.
"They are out of business," said Minnesota Gang Strike Force investigator Dan Michener.
Byron Calvert, 33, who was Panzerfaust's spokesman and public face, accuses his former business partner, Anthony Pierpont, 38, of having a Hispanic mother.
"I told Anthony that he had no choice but to walk away from (Panzerfaust) before this became public," Calvert says on a Web site linked from the now-defunct Panzerfaust site.
Pierpont was arrested in his South St. Paul home on Nov. 30 on suspicion of felony possession of a small amount of a substance believed to be cocaine. That incident led to a schism between Pierpont and Calvert.
Calvert, also known as Bryant Cecchini, and several friends stood outside his South St. Paul duplex on Friday afternoon. Other than confirming he is no longer involved with Panzerfaust Records, Calvert refused to answer questions. He also would not talk about the whereabouts of Pierpont, whose case is pending in the Dakota County court system.
"It's all over," said Joe Roy, chief investigator for the Alabama based Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks white supremacist activities across the country. The center's Web site has posted a copy of Pierpont's birth certificate, which shows his Mexico-born mother was named Maria Marcola del Prado. Pierpont could not be reached for comment.
Panzerfaust, previously considered the nation's largest skinhead record label, created controversy in September when Calvert announced plans to distribute 100,000 copies of a "pro-white sampler CD" to teenagers across the country.
Calvert's plan was to spread Panzerfaust's anti-ethnic message to teens through music, and the label sold the CDs to supporters at a discounted rate of $15 per 100 copies.
In an interview with the Pioneer Press at the time, Calvert said, "Our target audience is 50 million white kids who have never heard of us."
Pierpont's racial heritage has long been a subject of speculation in white-power circles.
The Southern Poverty Law Center's Web site refers to him as "The Well-Tanned Skinhead," and reports others within the movement have questioned his race as early as 1995.
Until recently, Calvert adamantly denied the rumors, but now has used the Internet to demand Pierpont "take a DNA test to clear up any doubt. He refuses to do so."
Now that Panzerfaust has closed, other white-supremacy groups will attempt to gain control of a total market estimated by Roy at $1 million per year.
"There will be a scramble for that business," Roy said. "It's more than just CDs — it's T-shirts, belt buckles and other merchandise."
But such infighting is fairly common in the white-supremacist movement. Reading online message boards discussing Panzerfaust's demise, Roy said, is "like watching a bunch of children calling each other names."

PROJECT BONEYARD USA – Offline
The Label Sampler (v.1) is currently offline. Respect and credit due to
all supporters of the Project Boneyard campaign and fans of real street
music that burned, mass-produced and distributed the free CDs in the
contested areas. The campaign was successful and made a significant impact.
LABEL SAMPLER v.1
In late fall of 2004, Insurgence Records issued a free label music
sampler available via electronic download directly from our website. Why
the hell would we do that? Panzerfaust Records, a fascist skinhead label
based in the United States, claimed to be producing 100,000 CD samplers
of ‘white power music’ for free distribution throughout disaffected
white communities across America. We initiated a campaign designed to
fight their fire in kind.
We had already been planning to issue a label sampler in 2005 when we
caught wind of the propaganda effort bring orchestrated by these
knuckleheads. We decided to enlist some of our bands to combat them on
even terms. In stark contrast to liberal opponents of the fascist music
enterprise, the participants of Project Boneyard voted with their boots
and chose against allowing the fascists a free run. Insurgence created
the product and the scene took care of the rest. Supporters downloaded,
mass-produced, and handed out copies of our sampler in areas targeted by
Panzerfaust.
From the outset, the media and liberal watchdog groups only acted to
fan the flames of controversy by raising the alarm to an easily
disturbed middle class audience. ‘Skinhead thugs in our neighborhoods!
Lock up your children! Ban hate! Shock horror!’ Panzerfaust’s claims of
producing two consecutive batches of 20,000 CDs were taken at face value
and quoted verbatim.
On the other hand, our modest efforts were uniformly blanked by the
media. Even attempts to contact specific journalists who’d picked up the
original story fell on deaf ears. Not enough blood in the water for
them, perhaps. But unlike some, media approval was never something we
aspired to. It just went to show how easy it is for the used car
salesmen at Panzerfaust to flaunt their illegitimate views in the face
of a noisy, yet soft and unthreatening opposition. They were definitely
in their element and knew it.
Ironically, before their campaign even had hopes of generating momentum,
Panzerfaust Records bottomed out quite spectacularly by their own hand.
In case some of you reading this passed up the gossip columns, we’ll sum
it up for you in one simple mathematical equation:
Owner of Panzerfaust + cocaine habit + Thai prostitutes + Mexican
bloodline = GAME OVER
Like they say… with clowns like these, who needs the circus?
So on that humorous note, we wrap up this tent and get back to what we
were doing before being so rudely interrupted. Keep the scum out of the
scene!
We’ll be leaving the Boneyard sections of our messageboards open for a
week or two for additional feedback, before shutting them down.
Background information on the campaign, including original statements,
reviews and participant feedback, can be found in the Project Boneyard
section of the Insurgence site, accessible via the ‘bands’ pull-down menu.
THESE STREETS BELONG TO US
One of the great results of the campaign has been the influx of
supporters signing up to join our street team. If you’d like to get
involved, find out more about it by heading to the ‘resources’ section
of the Insurgence website and clicking on ‘street team’.
Sell Insurgence releases in your area and earn some extra loot! We offer
