Websites are useless for our true IQ. You really have to go to a professional to get the true value. I hover on the low end of 150 (professional opinion), but websites put me from 130-170.
I needed an IQ test done for an appliciation. I put little stock in IQs, you can have a high IQ but still be stupid (aka uneducated), while you can have a low IQ, but be smart all the same. I think it depends more on the person then raw ability.

I don't really care too much, really. IMO I.Q. reflects a typically bourgeois pseudo-scientific fetish to measure and grade everything in sight -- irrespective of "non-quantifiable", intangible qualities -- the better to attach some 'value' to it...
It's an imperial invasion of privacy of sorts, considering it's usual calculated, willfully obscured goals.
I'd really like to know what other measures now exist that more accurately reflect well-rounded individuals -- situated explicitly and concretely in interactive surroundings with other like -- and unlike -- individuals.

I need to get an IQ test done too. Those stupid internet ones are just weird. Plus, the idea of an IQ test is very culturally specific. Especially the ones on the net.
I did an IQ test once. I only got 20. But what happened was that the scale only went up to 250. So really I got 270.
IQ tests also don't mean much at all unless they are tailered for the culture and is given one on one.

I.Q. tests are absolutely meaningless. They were based on the flawed belief that you would get the same score on one from the age of 12 till the day you die. They were also very culture and class specific - someone in the working class is hardly likely to be able to know much about russian composers etc which is what the questions were originally about. They were only widely used once invented because the bloke who invented them had made up the results that he'd used to prove them, just rearranging the order for each year. He was only discovered because statisticians realised the averages were exactly the same every year, even though the tests had supposedly been done by different people. However the system was left in place in the UK for quite a while after this was discovered, since the tests successfully kept the working classes out of grammar schools. To sum up, I will never take an IQ test, nor pay any attention to anyones results on one.

Those of you that rant on about how bourgeois and worthless the IQ test is, hadn't you realized it was based on logic when you were taking the damn thing? Honestly, it wasn't hard to figure out after the third logic solving problem..
Anyhow, I have scored both 130 and 132 on different IQ tests. I would have to assume they are not lying to me.

They are still specific to certain cultures and classes anyway. Give an IQ test to an aborigine and he/she won't be able to do it, on their own anyway. Not because they are stupid, but because they don't solve problems on their own, their culture solves problems in groups.

My IQ, according to the internet (because the internet is always right), is none of your buisiness, nor should it be.
What is the purpose of IQ? IQ is only created to rank intelligence, it is only there to make the very few psychologically elite more influential over the lower. There is no problem with being smart, as long as you're not an a***ole about it. An IQ rating being given to someone is just like saying "Hi, you're not quite as good as us, nor wil you ever be." The people of the lesser IQ (who are still pretty smart, just not necessarily genius) will be confined to an intangible prison of self doubt and low self esteem. Wait, doesn't some of this sound familiar?
The ranking of IQ is similar to capitalism. Are not the IQ's of the masses much like the classes of society? It is a ranking that is handed out like a bar code, making it easy for the superior to judge the inferior efficiently. IQ is just a rating meant to be worn like a badge. Someone's intelligence is natural, whether that person is a little slow, or sharp witted. The difference is how we use it. Don't give it a ranking and horde it over others, instead use your intelligence humbly to help others and to spread information. Apply communism to this situation. If you happen to be a genius, teach others as much as you can effectively, and if you happen to be a little slow, work together with others of your intelligence and use the help of the intellectual to further not only your acedemic ability, but your ability to concieve ideas without bias and selfishness. After all... "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need?"

I have never taken an IQ test, not even the internet ones. I almost did, completed the test, then it asked me to pay them to send me the results.

IQ tests are inherently flawed, as at the very least they cannot adequetely account for such fundamental things as learned knowledge, personality and all those wondeful individual abilities.
My scores range from 100 to 150. I think. I don't tend to remember such stupid things well.
