Are humans more important then animals? This is the question that should be asked. If no, then anything that helps humans is warranted, else no.
Of course it maybe argued that humans are more important then other animals, but not by much. This is a valid argument as well. But how do you determine if the pain and suffering caused to the animal is offset by the good done to humans?
If we accept that good can be done to humans then are we allowed to kill another human and use his organs to save a dozen others? Or sacrifice a virgin to save a village from a dragon? Utilitarianism is a shit.
I think we can imply that humans are more important than animals. And yes, their welfare is subject to our generosity or lack thereof.
And I also agree with commiecrusader. I think we can be a little selfless and spare these defenseless creatures when testing cosmetics. Medicinal science, however, warrants the abuse of animals.
But it's not like animals are gonna be given any rights as long as the capitalists are in power. It's not in their interest to protect these. It's really in nobody's interest. So once socialism is attained, I think that then and only can we start thinking about animals’ rights.
I dont believe the "For greater good theory." If we really need test subjects on medical science, lets use humans.
So its a big "No no." to testing on animanls.

Well ofcourse I want! (But will I take?) If they are made by killing innocent animals its wrong. I think Darwin was right when he made the claim "Survival of the fittest" but the way I see it, it doesnt have to be like that. And I am one those against such acts of strong abusing the weak. I feel hatred when I see chimps in cages just waiting in line for death, while they should be in some beatyful jungle enjoying life like it should be. Okay I know, some of you guys have no feelings about these things. Its okay to kill if you stay alive?
What drives us to kill weaker forms of life? Why wont we test on humans? (We could get better results and so on.) Call me treehugger or anything, this is just the way I am, I wish no agony on no one. Murder aint "natural" way to die.

Ofcourse I am giving all the things to my children (when they exist) that they need and I have the resources. Still It is wrong, wrong, wrong. Its not wrong to take the drugs, but its wrong to make em, and by using the drugs you kinda support it. Well what can ya expect from race like humans? We are telling all those things how 'we care', but thats total bullshit, no one cares. I just hope that we end up just like the animals were abusing and torturing. Even me.
Firstly some hook trough leg thats really painful then some of our limbs are removed while we are fully concious. Then our throats are slit open. Yes, what a perfect way to die, dont you agree? Maybe our meat is good maybe the meat goes for the public and the money to some huge corporation, SO NICE!
I am animal person, I have a dog (which doesnt really differ from pigs etc.) and if someone would torture my doggie to death, well he would get the same treatment, but would not die, maybe few broken bones. Sometimes, laws are flaws.

A lot of the medicines we use right now were first tested on Animals for it's safety and I think we have benefitted from the conduction of such tests. These kinds of things warrants the testing on animals but if it were for aesthetic purposes (cosmetics, shampoos and the like), forget all about animal testing.

I would be for it if were more reliable, some drugs kill animals that otherwise are completly fine and help us. Others help animals but endager us.
We should use those who are going to be execute (or just capitilists) as the human genuia pigs of the future.

Now that, TAD, is an amazing idea. I can't believe no one has thought of it before/done it before. You would have to ensure there was no sort of trickery or deception involved like in some of the military drug testing that goes on though.

Well in Germany they did, they would test car safety by using real crash dummies. If you survived you walked free, maybe with less limbs though.
It's a really horrible but workable idea, sometimes you just have to be a right **** to achieve things.
This also brings up the issue of cloning and we could use artificial livers, hearts etc to test cures and treatments on.

My stance on fur is that I disagree with killing an animal just to make a fur coat, as the benefits in my opinion don't outweigh the costs. However if it dies for another reason, such as because it has been used in useful research, or to provide food or something genuinely useful, then I have no problem with using as many parts of that animal as possible, and if that means making a coat, scarf, hat or a weeeeeird pair of pants then that's fine with me.....

My stance on fur is that I disagree with killing an animal just to make a fur coat, as the benefits in my opinion don't outweigh the costs. However if it dies for another reason, such as because it has been used in useful research, or to provide food or something genuinely useful, then I have no problem with using as many parts of that animal as possible, and if that means making a coat, scarf, hat or a weeeeeird pair of pants then that's fine with me.....
Do you know how much of the animal is left after experiments, probably not enough to make a crotch hammock for Steph. If there was any left I wouldn't want it to touch me, have you seen pictures of rats and monkeys that are being tested on?

Animal testing is so unreliable, it just doesn't work!!! We need to use human test subjects or none at all.
