Ivan reshapes into a Force 5 Hurricane

Are there any ressources available to help Cuba in the advent of Hurricane Ivan hitting the island, which over a few hours came back as a very strong Force 5 Storm on the Saffir-Simpson scale....?????

It appears it may go westward and head towards Mexico... But that's still speculative at this time.....

What countries could be able, without having stupid inhumane sanctions put on it after, to help the caribbean's jewel ????




Is anyone concerned about this tragic storm ?

It may not be a "direct hit" but will still cause immense damage, primarily on the Isle of Youth and in Pinar del Rio province -- they'll likely lose their tobacco crop entirely.

On a side note, it's dropped down to a Force-4, but that's still enough to flatten anything that wasn't built to take an earthquake...

I know there are British Navy boats in the area tied up helping in Jamaica: I simply do not know if they would willingly give assistance to the Cubans

Might not even hit Cuba directly, but the wind and rain will certainly destroy some crops if that path is followed even vaguely. This is allegedly the sixth most powerful storm to even be recorded. And it's projected to come to my town. Shit. Grocery stores are already out of bottled water. And so are we. It's really not very funny, actually. My town is actually a bit west of the middle of the projected path. But the projected path has been moving more and more west.

If you want to donate some monies to Cuba and Jamaica check this place out. Even though it's "operation USA" they've been able to ship supplies and stuff for years now to Cuba.
