television, although it is recent, it has effected man kind throughout the world greatly, changing the way we see the world, and the way politics are decided, as seen in the kenedy nixon debate, tv viewers gave it to kenedy but radio listeners said nixon won it

Could you say that Marxism was really discovered? Did Karl find it down the back of his couch one day?

I would have to say the most important discovery/invention of the last hundred years would have to be Milton Keynes.

I think that I am the most important discovery.

Actually probably the phone, wait discovery, um... I can't think.

Yes electricity is important, but it was discovered more then 200 years ago (the old Greeks knew about it).

They may have known about it but did they harness it for energy?

That's why I said electrical power.

And not a single person has mentioned the piston or turbine?

The piston is the basis of modern transportation and industry. The turbine was a major part of locomotion, and now leads in power production of all sorts. Hydroelectric? Turbine. Nuclear? Turbine. Coal? Turbine. Wind? Turbine. They all boil water and churn turbines, or use the motion of wind/water to turn turbines.

The most important discovery in the last 200 years? Difficult one...

I say the most important discovery in the last 200 years would be an intellectual one...

Perhaps Newton's Laws or Einstein's Theory of Relativity

Perhaps more prominant should be the Latex Condom of course.

The piston is the basis of modern transportation and industry

    Adiel: Cannot!
    Lisa: Can to!
