Why are you proud of your sexuality?

Mind you I am No homosexual but a proud heterosexual. One of my friends recently made a post on the fact that Gays/Lesbians can marry. When reading this post please forgive him for being an economic fascist (no he certainly is not anything like hitler but believes in a Nietzsche type world). So enjoy this article.

Why are you proud of your sexuality?

I don't think pride is wrong at all. I'm also even more proud that I lost 70 pounds from the fatass I was. I'm also proud that I'm a male. But, it is when we give special restrictions/power to our pride that makes pride turn into blind patriotism or ultra-nationalistic fascism.

Having pride in being a man is ridiculous, as is pride in being attracted to the opposite sex. You might as well be proud to have arteries or a fully functional femur bone.
Losing weight is the achievement of a goal, being male is a biological fluke.
-insert witty phrase in between two equals sign here-
Being proud of losing weight is different because you actually accomplished something. Being male and heterosexuality don't suggest any accomplishments, therefore it's stupid to be proud of them.
edit: Femur pride worldwide!

Being proud of being a man or of being heterosexual vaguely suggests that you think that it makes you better than non-males and non-heterosexuals, eh? Did you succeed in anything in being a straight man? Is being a straight man a victory? Is being a gay woman a loss?
When did I say being gay/not gay or being a man/woman made you a better person, were luckier or whatever? So a gay woman is not at a loss except when people discriminate against her. For either being a woman or a lesbian; also, i don't believe i have discriminated either so :P.

I don't really think you hate women or gays or anything, but you should know that the comments you made sounded a bit chauvinistic. Sounded like you thought that it somehow made you better.
That's why I never try to assume things by a statement. Unless someone expressively says that they're something or through numerous postings that can be reasonably inferred, it is better to just try to analyze and inquire rather than accuse![]()

I disagree, sexual orientation is very different than race... There is and has been great oppression of homosexuals throughout the ages but it in no way compares to the enslavement, the abuse, the inequality and suffering of particularly Black people but many other minority ethnic groups at the hands of the white man, they are different problems to be tackled differently..
Did anybody actually read the fucking link that I poste din my first post? That was supposed to be the area of discussion! Click it and read!

Why are Gays and Atheists racist against Jews and Christians?
Ok now this qualifies as probably the most stupid thing I've seen on this board.
How is atheists and gays racist against jews and christians. The answer most be they ain't. On the other hand the american version of christianity is discriminating against gays. Luckily I live in a country were gays can marry and aren't put down as sick.
DSCH I read some of your posts and you actually seem to be the most discriminating person. Please elaborate a bit on your statement so you don't look like a total dimwit.

An idiot can ask so many questions it will take years to reply. So if I don't reply to your posts it's probably why
Being gay in a christain america is like being a germ . You are disgusting and need to be rid of . Being homophobic is like being racist hating someone because they are different and seen as a lower class of people
Sorry for all the gramatical errors I sound like an idiot. But I hope I got my opinion out there
Then what do you do with the "Gay Pride" movement? If being a homosexual is a "biological fluke" then they have no grounds to be proud of it. If they have a right to be proud of it then it must be a choice and not a product of biology.
Do homosexuals think that they are some how better than everyone else? Is being straight a second-rate existence? Is being a lesbian, some sort of victory?
"If you ask me to name the proudest distinction of Americans, I would choose—because it contains all the others—the fact that they were the people who created the phrase 'to make money.' Americans were the first to understand that wealth has to be created. The words 'to make money' hold the essence of human morality.
"Until and unless you discover that money is the root of all good, you ask for your own destruction. When money ceases to be the tool by which men deal with one another, then men become the tools of men. Blood, whips and guns—or dollars. Take your choice—there is no other—and your time is running out."

Guess who?
<span style=\'color:blue\'>Hello LiQUiD-X and DranoK!</span>
I don't think they're proud of the biological aspect of it at all. I think what they're celebrating is their victory over societal repression, their courage against repressive 'morality' which forced them to be ashamed of something that was assigned to them by chance.
Obviously it's silly to make generalizations solely on personal experience, but most of the gay people I know would want a 'cure' for homosexuality more than anything. Again, this is just what I've seen, but many gay people, when asked the question "If you had a choice, would you be straight?" would emphatically answer 'yes.'
This isn't because there's anything inherently wrong with being coded to be homosexual, but because our culture makes it so hard to be openly gay. What 'Gay Pride' is really celebrating is their courage in the face of bigotry.
