what about horticulture? we have lived with cattle and other livestock for thousands of years as well! you could even go as far as to say that certain plantlife, ie. vegtables, fruit ect. we harvest the food source, and maintain, plant, collect seeds water, on and on.
I'd hardly call violently ripping up the earth, mixing it with petroleum fertilizers, sprnkiling it with a healthy handful of mutant seeds, and soaking it in petro-chemicals like pesticides and round-up in order to completely anihilate any competition to human food "mutualism"...unless of course you call your relationship with George Bush "mutualism".
