Good news, folks! Che-Lives is now ad free! The ads were always also a pain in my eyes but an easy tool to generate income for the hosting costs. The new opened store hopefully makes it possible to run the site without any ads.
In the store you can find the new Che-Lives merchandise stuff (t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, mouse pads and caps). I hope you like the design, more designs will follow soon.

To the groans of everyone, may I say that this is a capital idea!

    vox
Economists have provided capitalists with a comforting concept called the "free market." It does not describe any part of reality, at any place or time. It's a mantra conveniently invoked when it is proposed that government do something the faithful don't like, and just as conveniently ignored whenever they want government to do something for them.

Phat? I haven't heard that one in a while. Thanks for bringing back some memories, commie. Anyway, I was visiting "che-lives" in my Advanced Placement Language & Composition classroom the other day when I first read the message about it being ad-free and having a new web-shop. I agree with you, vox. And, my friend said "Hey! Shouldn't www.che-lives.com be a dot org instead, since dot org's are non-profit?" I thought Hey, that does make a lot of sense. I don't know a lot about Web & HTML (I've only made a page on GeoCities before), but is it difficult to get a dot org address? It's much easier to get a dot com, right? I have no idea.

FIrstly, i would like to congratulate you on yet another milestone for the che-lives site
secondly, how about u take the www. adreess off, as some people dont wanna assosiate themselves with websites, so someone who doesnt know jackshit about che but knows about italian socialism for eg, can still wear (and buy) the hoddie or whatever.
3rdly i take it more designs are to come? not just anti-usa?

It would be cool if you made your own posters.

Also, it would be nice if the merchandise had, say, a passage from Guerilla Warfare or Che's farewell letter in the background, or something else that hinted at the fact that this is a website for smart people and it also sells actual books, instead of one of those places just trying to capitalize on his image by turning him into a rock star-like icon.

A picture of Che besides the most famous one (that's on every single one of those posters) would also work well because if people have to look twice or can't just recognize him out of habit that would be cool. Jerry Rubin and Ed Sanders meditated in front of pictures of Che. The picture they meditated in front of would sell like crazy with "my crowd" if someone could figure out exactly which picture it was.

I'll probably buy one of the t-shirts once I have some money. Just one question--why don't those coffee mugs come in a set?

What about like deny, u put passages in from speeches etc.
Or pictures from protests and put the slogan, workers of all countires unite

Something that will get peoples spines shivering and heat up the rev.
Words are better than pictures i thnk, it says much more about the person.
    I saw a fuckwit with a che-shirt, and i thought, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Y!

CommieBastard that is a very good one, You're not part capitalist are you?
The quotes are a good idea too.

What about if you got a picture of a group of soldiers and put the heads of all the great dead revolutionaries on their bodies. A kind of crack commie commando group.
    With a phrase like R.I.P 1917 - VICTORY

Now you mention it, I have had the ideal capitalist education, and fully comprehend the workings of the capitalist mind.
I study business studies, did it at GCSE and AS, and am currently doing my A2. With literally no work, i get A's. I am the star student of the class, but i never do any work.
Basically, simply put, i am a business genius, and if i so chose, i could probably make my millions in the capitalist economy.
But i don't want to. So that's that. I might in the future use my business ability to help run a worker's co-operative or other such organisation, and the management techniques are relevant to any kind of leadership.
The greatest asset it gives however, is a true understanding of the workings of a corrupt system, which makes it all the easier to argue against it, and all the easier to find the flaws to pry open.
