Chris,
There's a lot of talk about collusion lately. What about Trump's collusion with white supremacists, misogynists and, more than anything, the war machine that is being given unrestricted free rein? See The Daily Beast:
Trump’s Air War Has Already Killed More Than 2,000 Civilians
Civilian casualties from the U.S.-led war against the so-called Islamic State are on pace to double under President Donald Trump, according to an Airwars investigation for The Daily Beast.
Airwars researchers estimate that at least 2,300 civilians likely died from Coalition strikes overseen by the Obama White House—roughly 80 each month in Iraq and Syria. As of July 13, more than 2,200 additional civilians appear to have been killed by Coalition raids since Trump was inaugurated—upwards of 360 per month, or 12 or more civilians killed for every single day of his administration.
This is a time for courage and resistance. We salute the veterans gathering in Chicago next week to re-dedicate themselves to stopping this deadly endless war, and wanted to share this invitation to the benefit concert happening next Friday, where We Are Not Your Soldiers will also be in the house!
From Veterans for Peace:
This is a concert for the globally minded, peace conscious music lover. We are bringing together world class musicians and performers from various genres under one roof for a night of soul rousing, status quo shaking music. Veterans For Peace invites you to come sing, dance and be rejuvenated in the healing vibrations of positive, uplifting music.
This concert coincides with the 32nd Annual National Convention for VFP. The concert is open to the public and it will be a night to remember!
"I’m extremely stoked to be working with VFP! I am excited to be collaborating with an organization whose main goal is to abolish war as a whole. It feels amazing to be doing such necessary work, especially in these uncertain times,” says DJ Dapper.
Veterans For Peace, an international organization of military veterans and their allies. Their mission since 1985 is to build a new culture of peace, expose the costs of war, heal the wounds of war, seek justice for veterans and victims of war and end the arms race, reduce and eventually end nuclear weapons.
