Default Hello

I'm fairly new to socialism, only really researching and studying it for the past few months. So I'm not really sure which school of thought I identify or sympathize with, but really open to almost anything. I've looked into Marxism–Leninism, various schools of anarchism, Trotskyism, as well as Luxemburgism. I'd be interested to know what the rest of you believe and why you believe it.

Hello, welcome to the forum. I'm a socialist. Communism is too extreme for me, while anarchism in my opinion is a naive utopia. Socialism on the other hand would be a system in which everyone could have a happy life, full of opportunities. I think it is the most left-side ideology which takes human nature too into consideration, therefore it would not end in a catastrophe if we tried to implement it.

(For the others in the forum: I don't want to start a debate about it. It is my opinion. If you don't agree start a post about it, or write me a PM. But let's not discuss it here.)

    Welcome!

Don't get too hung up on the different schools of thought. There's really only one major difference which is Marxist-Leninism. The creation of a vangaurd, the one party state, etc. Most everything else is very theoretical, and unless your a representative of a specific club, there's no need to identify as a Maoist or a Trotskyist.
