The Internationalist clubs invite students, faculty and campus workers to speak out against the vicious onslaught against immigrants, Muslims and the rights of us all. After the election of Donald Trump last November there has been a wave of racist attacks nationwide. Seeking to surpass even Democrat Obama’s record deportation numbers (over 5 million), Donald Trump has now issued executive orders to suspend immigration form Muslim countries, defund sanctuary cities, and build his infamous wall along the Mexico-U.S. border. Confronted with the “choice” between raving bigot Donald Trump and Wall Street militarist Hillary Clinton, workers and youth faced a lose-lose situation. Trump and his cabinet of billionaire rip-off artists and generals rule by decree and launch one attack after another. To defeat these attacks it is crucial to unchain the power of the working class, together with students and all the oppressed. This requires a sharp break from the Democrats, as well as Greens, and all parties of this rotting capitalist system, and building a revolutionary workers party. At every campus of the City University of New York committees should be formed to defend immigrants and all students, faculty and staff. If anyone from CUNY or their family is seized for deportation, we should shut the campus down and join with labor, African Americans, immigrants and all defenders of democratic rights to shut the city down. As we have chanted at speak-outs, rallies and marches, “Only revolution can bring justice!” Defend immigrants, Muslims and the rights of us all!
