Howdy,
Been lurking a bit and saw a fuck ton of interesting convos so decided to join. Been Communist for going on 14 years, specifically Hoxhaist. Currently unaffiliated with any Party, tho I'm looking to change that and have sympathies towards the APL and PSL respectively.
Currently work in psychiatric healthcare, average about 80-120 hrs per week, and manage to squeeze in school in there too; I'm majoring in mortuary science. Located in the middle of Appalachia.
All this aside I like practicing judo, playing chess and piano, bonsai trees, cats, reading, video games, Westerns, cooking, skating, gardening, etc.
Can't really think of anything else rn, aside from I hope to learn and link up

"I am vegan because I have compassion for animals; I see them as beings possessed of value not unlike humans. I am an anarchist because I have that same compassion for humans, and because I refuse to settle for compromised perspectives, half-assed strategies and sold-out objectives. As a radical, my approach to animal and human liberation is without compromise: total freedom for all, or else."
"It takes no more time to be a vegetarian than to eat animal flesh.... When non-vegetarians say ‘human problems come first’ I cannot help wondering what exactly it is that they are doing for humans that compels them to continue to support the wasteful ruthless, exploitation of farm animals."
80 is the low, 120 is the high, it varies between there on average depending upon calls offs, emergencies, terminations, etc. I'm on call 24/7
It formerly being the beacon of Socialism in the midst of imperialism and social-imperialism. The fact that Albania was the last to fall to de-Communization (even if the seeds of counterrevolution were already sown following Hoxha's death, and the rise of the rightist-Gorbachevists) to me kind of says it all. I see it being the 'highest stage of Marxism' so to speak.
How interesting that you can work 80 hours minimum and not lose your mind.
Why do you think an (oppressive) state is the road to communism?
