TOMORROW: Press conference & Community Event Denouncing Human Right Abuses by LA Sheriffs #iceoutofjails

Yesterday, LA Sheriff McDonell and the LA Sheriff’s Department reported to the Board of Supervisors that ICE has full open doors & access to to their jails!

This is very troubling as we know policing and criminalization of immigrants, people of color, LGBTQ community, street vendors is very high in Los Angeles County!

We invite you to join the ICE out of LA Coalition and the UCLA International Human Rights Clinic for the launch of our new report which highlights the human rights consequences of LASD-ICE collaboration.

We demand ICE out the Jails! and no Poli-ICE Collaboration!

There will be two events to launch the report all happening on Thursday, January 12, 2017.

1.) Press Conference at 9AM at Twin Towers (450 Bauchet St, Los Angeles, CA 90012)

The press conference will focus on the launch of the human rights report and the ICE Out of LA Coalition's demands. http://bit.ly/ToxicLASD

2.) Immigration Town Hall held at Community Coalition (8101 S. Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90044) from 6-9 pm.

The town hall will feature a discussion on the national immigrant rights landscape, LAPD's Special Order 40, hearing from directly impacted individuals, and the ICE Out of LA and UCLA Human Rights Clinic report.
