Welcome! You've come 2 years too late though, I fear. The forum is as good as dead nowadays. Hopefully it will get revived, but until then you'll have to make-do with reading old threads.

Hello!
I'm a Marxist who's interested in impossibilism. I live in Ontario, Canada. It's pretty quiet locally on the political level, but I hope to stir things up a bit if I can. I want to try getting local people interested, at the very least.
I had originally thought of myself as a liberal when I first entered politics, but then decided to actually learn about what communism was after previously thinking I disliked it, since I had the common misconception of "communism is just a state-dictatorship!" in my mind for a while.
I found myself looking at sites with information given by communists themselves, rather than the corporate media and the state. They gave quite the different message, haha. This is where I learned to not trust the state or corporate media, pretty much.
At that point, I had quite a radical shift in positioning clearly, now that I'm a communist. I haven't done much reading though, but I want to at some point!
I was looking for a site that communists and anarchists went to, and I ended up finding this one. I had lurked for a little bit; originally I wasn't sure whether I wanted to stay or not, but I like what I've seen so far, and so I plan on staying. This forum seems to be full of very helpful people from what I can tell, so I'll probably learn quite a lot just by hanging around. The 'learning' forum is especially appealing. Lots to learn and ask about there, I'm sure.
I'm tired of being secluded from comrades though. The loneliness is a bit much, especially with how many people I know personally who are quite venomously objecting to my views. Coming to this site is something I probably should've looked into ages ago.
Welp, I'm here now. Better late than never!
