Default Feminism and traditional Marxist-Leninist states

I'm curious, what do other posters make of the fact that Marxist-Leninist regimes routinely failed to ensure that women had an actual opportunity to gain political power and influence? Why is the list of the poliburo members of pretty much every Marxist-Leninist state a sausage fest? Even today, the 5 remaining "Marxist Leninist" states (defined broadly) are predominately run by men.

Traditionalism! "Transition Stage!" Perhaps the reason nothing changed between pre-revolutionary politics and 'revolutionary politics' is because nothing actually changed in society? State capitalism over Autocracy is simply a change in the organization of capital, not an actual change in the relations of production. Granted, some of these revolts did wipe away the last vestiges of feudalism in their states as such, but so what? What benefit is there in allowing more competition in these states? None, at least to those who stand to lose. They just so happen to hold political power as well.

We can say similar of western democracies, just look at the composition of the US Congress and who are the largest shareholders of capital within the country. It's taken ~200 years for females to matter to the bourgeois in the US, and even longer in other western countries, when these countries have ostensibly been the 'closest' to socialism due to their industrial development. Now that it's more equal in terms of development, why does female equality continue to elude everyone? Simple, accumulation of profit is paramount, and more competition drives those chances down, so it is in the majority of the ruling class's interest to avoid female interlopers, just the same as with racial issues. Of course it also serves an interest to indoctrinate the lower classes into this though as well, since us fighting among ourselves prevents unity against capital, doesn't it?

Unlike western democracies, Marxist Leninist states based themselves on the principle of gender equality (at least officially) and women generally made advances in fields other than actual political power, which remained largely in the hands of men.
