Hi My Name Is Kale
Hi! My name is Kale, I'm a 46 year old male and married with kids. My political thought process in the beginning was clearly Liberal during my college days. I always had a certain level of distrust with the Republican Party. I was pro-choice, anti-gun, anti-war, enjoyed smoking pot and having lots of sex. Of course, that was almost 25 years ago. Today, I've become completely fed up with the political system in America. I firmly believe both the Democratic and Republican parties are polluted beyond repair. Both parties are made up of criminals and professional liars. There's no way in hell I can vote for a candidate in either of those parties. Choosing between Donald and Hillary doesn't interest me one bit. Some of my thoughts on things that are important to me.
Free speech: I cherish it
2nd Amendent: I support gun ownership for citizens, but with some restrictions. Background checks are a must
Abortions: should be legal, it's a woman's right
LGBT: I fully support their movement and rights to marriage
Capital Punishment: I oppose it
Welfare: I'm okay with it, but not for an entire lifetime
Drugs: legalize pot, not entirely sure about meth, heroin and cocaine, tho
Workers: I fully support unions and worker rights
Private property: I support citizens owning their own property. I don't want all property owned by the government or a handful of uber wealthy families.
Immigration: I'm an open borders guy, but I do recognize the problems that may come. I have grown really tired of all of the "illegals" talk.
On the military: I don't like that we are the most militaristic nation in the world. I'm a pacifist.
Authoritarianism: I do not trust the government, law enforcement, the church, corporations, or the wall st. hyenas.
The U.S. Government: I firmly believe corporations (including big banks) and government have merged. I have a difficult time distinguishing one from the other. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a corporate dictatorship.
Socialism/Collectivism: I want this type of society, so long as it's voluntary and free of government.
I've been called a Left Libertarian and a Libertarian Socialist. I feels it's accurate for the most part. I do have strong Anarchist views, tho. I often hear modern day Right Libertarians constantly blaming all things on just the government, while some Left Libertarians focus their rants on the corporations and capitalism. I blame both government and their bedfellows, the corporations. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

Welcome
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
I see you have a rounded set of political views which I would personally still more identify with liberal ideas, but that word has a certain meaning in the US so I get that you don't identify with that. I look forward to your contributions
