It's been quite a while since I've been on this forum. I had a lot of growing up and college stuff going on while being away from the forum. It's actually quite strange how much of a life I have now; I used to constantly post on this forum due to my lack thereof. I'm currently a philosophy undergrad student, and lead a Marxist Reading Group with some friends at my school. I have an interest in Continental philosophy, psychoanalysis, feminism, post-structuralism, etc. Politically, I mostly identify with the tradition of the Italian Communist Left, more specifically the strain of the French Fraction of the Communist Left that split with the Bordigists in 1943. I hope things have been well on the forum.

Thanks; the reading group actually had a really good turn out over the semester. I'm trying to undermine the false dichotomy between orthodox Marxism vs. cultural Marxism (New Left) that pervades political discourse in the college scene through bringing the ultra-left tradition to light. Hopefully, this will continue to grow next semester.

By having no family … I inherited the family of humanity.
By having no possessions … I have possessed all.
By rejecting the love of one … I received the love of all.
By surrendering my life to the revolution … I found eternal life.

Welcome back! Which strands of Contintental philosophy are you interested in? Deleuze and Heidegger have been very important to me in the past few years.

Overall, I'm very critical of Deleuze and Heidegger, but they're def. thinkers I engage with. I'm more into Jacques Lacan, Michel Foucault (though I'm starting to be more critical), Julia Kristeva, Judith Butler, Slavoj Zizek, etc.
