Hello to everyone
Hello dear readers,
My name is Carla and I am writing from Sicily. My mother tongue is Italian, therefore I learned English mainly at school and at university. I say this because I will definitely make several mistakes while writing this post and future ones. Corrections or integrations are welcome.
I subscribed to revleft not so much to discuss exclusively about political issues, but to discuss about every aspect of life from my perspective, which is clearly a left-oriented one. I strongly believe that our ideology affects every single aspect of our daily life, starting from our relations with other people. The way we behave and the way we look at things, even ordinary ones, tell more about us than any word may do.
I do not know what to write in addition to this. Better to say, I know what I could write, but I prefer not to say everything all at once.
Greetings,
Carla

Welcome
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
What are your political ideas, if anything in particular?

Hi Q,
Thanks for replying!
My opinions about politics, society, environment, and so on are clear and closely releted to each other. I am going to summarise them below:
Firstly, I think that the Western economic system has failed both from the moral and ethical point of view because of the huge amount of injustice it leads to. Capitalism damages every human being, the environment, and the entire world. There cannot be true well-being if more than a billion of people in the world are hungry and do not have access to clean, safe drinking water. There cannot be true well-being if at least two million people of all ages die every year from vaccine-preventable diseases. There cannot be true well-being if thousands of children from all underdeveloped countries work more than fourteen hours every day to produce soccer balls, clothing, jewelry and every kind of consumable goods for the rich, "civilized" Westerners for less than a dollar. There cannot be true well-being if between 10,000 and 100,000 species are becoming extinct each year because of the increasing pollution.
