blockade the PEGIDA netherlands demonstration in utrecht this sunday
Pegida will try to have their first demonstration in the Netherlands coming Sunday (11 October) in Utrecht.
Pressure from 3 antifascist counter demonstrations/blockade actions that have already been called for already made sure that the pegida march will not be allowed to walk a route but will be confined to a closed off square near the central train station.

original English call out (since then the city/cops decided that the Pegida demonstration will be confined to the Vredenburg square and will not be allowed to march through the city, so meeting point will not be Neude at 12.00 but Vredenburg before 14.00);

2 nights ago 20 masked up fash assholes attacked a refugee emergency shelter near utrecht with flashbangs, 11 got nicked, yesterday morning a big group of fash got intercepted by cops on their way towards another shelter and banned from the city after being kettled for a while.. the ruling conservative-libertarian party is in full incitement mode...

small report; about 150 pegida demonstrators of which about 100 for now unidentified violent fash and hooligans, lots of idiots from belgium and germany, local utrecht hooligans where out in force too but seem to have taken a "neutral" stance mostly.

we didnt manage to shut the demo down but riotpolice where forced to completely isolate the demo, dont think anyone besides the pegida hardcore heard any of the speeches so thats a win. 12 arrests, some fash vs antifa clashes though most violence was from the cops. lots of smokebombs blocked out the demo. pegida are pissed and claim to want to return for a new demo "within 3 weeks" (they always do).
all in all i think it was a draw, biggest most violent fash demo in a while but mostly filled by foreighn import and hardcore fash, we didnt manage to shut them down but at least it was pretty clear to everyone this where hardcore racists and not the "concerned citizens" they want to present themselves.

I was with a group of like 30 people, we tried to get to the vredeburg just after 2pm. But we got blocked-in in an alley by police on horses. I thought we would get arrested but they let us go and send us back to the jankerkhof.

'Jankerhof' seems to imply you're not originally from the Netherlands? That'd narrow it down. Did you return to the 'main street' after being sent away?

Yeah, we went to jankerkhof, place of the IS demo. after that i went to the ACU and then to the bijenkorf, because i heard some fascists went there. I am dutch, btw.

I was with the peter storm group, I met them at the ACU. I don't think anyone knew me there coz i am not involved in any leftist groups. We prolly seen each other but i don't know how you look like either.
