I see the pics and it seem a glourious spacesomeone who looks the world in a manner similar to mine
I need to go see a friend in weston and as it is commuting distance from work I might make it into a weekend. I enjoy banksy's art, and some of the points he makes, even if people who are utterly intolerable do the same. The politics of it being presented in the first place are difficult, but seeing as this is a political forum, i'd equate it to the same politics that any radical art community faces. You can't live outside of capitalism, but taking a massive amount of capital does seem to skew whatever statement you might be trying to make. I personally favour the theory that banksy is a collective, just on the basis that a collective is more favourable from a political point of view, assuming they are using some of that fancy pants art money to organise.
That said, the effect banksy's art has had on gentrification is depressing in the extreme.

I'm really not sure about it, but a friend really wants me to go with him and it's not far so I might as well.
