First time here

Today I got here for the first time and I decided to join since I've never been in an International Leftist site (always stayed in national forums).

I'll say my ideals to let you know me: communism through popular democracy, socially tradionalist, internationalist, egalitarianist, against cultural marxism, contrary to third wave feminism (I just can't empathize with it), against """multiculturalism""".
Economically I'm for local capitalism but with big/total control over big enterprises (NEP alike). The rest is applied communism (marxist).

I find it hard to associate with a political party because they are all socialdemocrats in the end.

I'm currently a student in southern Europe and I'm involved with political parties in some local issues. We've got some hard work to do here (creating student unions and protesting against German-Imposed austherity).

Hope I'll learn something from here; don't hesitate to ask me anything!

Hi! Today I decided to join this forum so I can learn about how are leftist movements going in other parts of the globe.
I'm from southern Europe, actually a student.

A brief list of my ideals: social traditionalism, egalitarianism, internationalism, marxist theory (democracy --> dictatorship --> stateless democracy), nationalism, contrary to third wave feminism (can't empathize with it), against cultural marxism and "multiculuralism". Economically similar to the NEP (local capitalism regulated and state's control over big enterprises). Also I would be for a full-scale revolution (reformists in the institutions and revolutionaries in the streets).

I'm a nihilist and a realist. I've been raised catholic but nowadays I'm an atheist. Anyway I usually hate atheists because they think other people are stupid for having a belief, sad thing.

How do you reconcile a commitment to revolutionary ideals (i.e egalitarianism, internationalism, marxism) with nationalism, opposition to multiculturalism, 'social traditionalism', 'cultural marxism' (which is a term I've literally only heard the right use) and this idea you have of 'local capitalism'. You'll have to forgive me but I'm understandably suspicious of someone who claims to be a revolutionary communist but purports to uphold ideals I and certainly many others on this forum would consider openly and wholly reactionary.

Just for the record, explain what you mean by 'social traditionalism' and your opposition to 'cultural marxism.' I don't particularly wish to discourage you if you really are interested in engaging with revleft and learning from the rest of the community but when I read your post certain alarm bells began to ring.

A. Yes, it must be very difficult for you to empathize with an ideology that seeks to liberate all people regardless of race, gender and sexual orientation from a social system based on oppressive gender roles and stereotypes.

Marxism is not a set of ideas you can choose from. You're not a marxist, you're a third positionist at best.

Not a troll, that's why I am here. I only hear these words from the same positions (all of them conservative). i had to use those words just to see the reactions. Now I know a bit more about them! I just took the piss, sorry about that!

I put nationalism and internationalism because right now, thinking only about internationalism is way too hard. You can't just pretend that everyone in the globe listents to your words, first you must do it locally (inside a nation's borders) I don't mean the political nationalism, just the starting point (english is not my mother tongue so it makes me a bit difficult to talk without these contradictions, sorry).

The traditionalist part: I mean it in a counterpart to cultural marxism (the position that states that cultures must not be taken as an important thing during the revolution). I think that it's a wood thing to remember who you are, why and how. I didn't know if 'cultural marxism' is a universal therm or not, now I know that only the media uses it, good thing to know.

Local capitalism: in the end, I don't really support it, but in the period of transition between popular democracy and communism, I see it as a thing that we could still have and not cause big differences (since the state still has power over it). Some things like a restaurant, a small shop, etc. are things that doesn't make hundreds of thousands of dollars. With taxes to control the benefits, I don't see it as a big thread.

This is why I'm here, to be sure about the therminology and your positions. Here (southern Europe) people is pretty conservative or socialdemocrat at its best (centre-left / centre) so it's very difficult to read about the movements and to see real plurality of opinions.
