    In some ways, yes. When one person looks at an issue with a preset mindset, it makes poor dialogue with someone else who refuses to acknowledge that person's viewpoint. That's why I feel that the key to progress is healthy debate and open mindedness. You should stick to your guns but be prepared to see things from the point of view of your opponent.

    Whatever I encounter on this forum, I will meet head on but with a willingness to change my mind on an issue if enough logical reason and evidence is served up to me.

    One should never say "I believe this thing this way and I will always believe this this way." Critical thinking always comes before an ideology.
