And now for your weekly dose of affluenza.
And this wasn't just a one time deal, either. He'd been doing this to her since she was twelve years old.
But he got off on a light sentence. Why? Because he's the heir to the SC Johnson company. He's a billionaire.

OMFG WHY??? He deserves to be buried under concrete...
"But here steps in Satan, the eternal rebel, the first free-thinker and emancipator of worlds. He makes man ashamed of his bestial ignorance and obedience; he emancipates him, stamps upon his brow the seal of liberty and humanity, in urging him to disobey and eat of the fruit of knowledge." ~Mikhail Bakunin
Shit like this makes me have no sympathy. Executions in the streets is the only answer.
"I'm not interested in indulging whims from members of your faction."
Seeing as this is seen as acceptable by an admin, from here on out when I have a disagreement with someone I will be asking them to reference this. If you want an explanation of my views, too bad.
I wholeheartedly agree. Lets crucify these fuckers...

Raises a lot of questions about violence, law and order and a host of other related topics.
Is violence the answer to these problems?
Is there another way or are people naturally bent towards revenge?
Does non-violence have any merit when it comes to monsters?
Personally I like the idea of punishment for people who are sick monsters like this. There is a local case here with a store owner kidnapping and sexually assaulting a patron of his second hand store. Makes me want to pick up a gun.
But if I did would I feel better or worse for having blood on my hands. Does killing the guilty keep you guiltless yourself?

AND of course we cant forget the fact that he has skated on these charges.
justice denied for one is justice denied for all. ~MLK.JR
This is horrendous! What kind of sick "society" allows this to happen? Should have his balls cut off!
Really, and I read such ultraconservative garbage in a supposedly leftist message board.
Don't you realise that such kind of violence is going to be used against us, not against CEOs of whatever companies?

I understand the frustration though. It's tough not to get emotional about this kind of thing. Both the crime and the response to it are symptoms of an extremely sick society. None of us are immune.
Absolutely true. Our emotions in these cases will be used against us to enact tough on crime legislation which will only be turned on us as a tool to oppress.
It looks like the mother and daughter didn't want him to be punished in the first place:

We shouldn't be fighting despicable violence with despicable violence, comrades. All we need to do to the bourgeoisie is stop them from being bourgeoisie, and that will stop them from committing this kind of atrocity and stop the legal system from being biased toward members of the ruling class who commit such atrocities.
