Communism In Cambodia?
Is there any current Marxist political movement in Cambodia?
The Cambodia Peoples' Party is infested with opportunists and is by no means socialist in any real sense of the word.
Undoubtedly, Pol Pot and his proxy government weren't communist, they were set-up by the CIA to weaken Vietnam and weaken the then genuine communist movement (backed by the Vietnamese) in Cambodia. And the communist opposition to Pol Pot (including the CPP) appears to have no current formation.
