Recently, I've been making papers on Anarchism and, since April, I've been handing out papers to students and teachers of all backgrounds at my school, and they are usually receptive to it. For the most part while handing out, I spoke to them about Anarchism and told them to go on the website listed at the bottom so they could learn more about Anarchism. Now that's school's out, I'm thinking of distributing it in many places. The flier's title is "What is Anarchism" and includes text from the sections A.1, A.5.6, and D.1 from the website http://www.anarchismfaq.org .
Also, starting last week, I've handed out fliers to promote "A People's History of the United States" and randomly spread them out in my neighborhood, like throwing it in people's doorways or placing them randomly on seats at the main neighborhood park. I include in my fliers links to the websites associated with my fliers(A People's History of the United States: http://www.historyisaweapon.com/zinn...eshistory.html) and a "Please keep this and pass this on to other people like friends or family". I'm currently planning to randomly distribute them at:
- Malls(All parts of the mall)
- Stores(like Wal-Mart, Target, Barnes and Noble, or even Gamestop or clothing stores)
- Restaurants(Formal, cultural, and fast food/pizza delivery ones)
- Entertainment centers(theaters, swimming pools, arcades, bowling alleys, etc)
- Gyms
- Amusement parks(I plan on doing this at major ones because I'm visiting two amusement parks for vacation, I'd prefer to only list one, Universal Studios Hollywood)
- Houses of worship even(I'm non-religious through, so it'll be tough).
I don't want to do the burden of talking to people since it'll probably take literally the entire fucking day just to talk to individuals about Anarchism(I have like 50 papers to hand out to people), so I want to spread it out randomly like placing it on seats or placing them on the ground. What do you suggest I do for randomly placing papers and where should I place them in those places I listed?

One thought - even though it might take "the entire fucking day" to talk to people, it could save time and be worth it in the slightly longer run.
The big reason for this is that people are more likely to take things seriously from somebody whose credibility has been established to some degree. I don't mean this to say you need to establish your credibility necessarily, but that if you can convince one person to take, say, twenty fliers and hand them out to their co-workers (or the people at their church, or . . .) those twenty people are more likely to follow up the web links. Plus, this way, the person who's handing out the fliers feels engaged, and like they're "doing something".

if you really want peoples attention, you should show them that you have a solution for their problems. giving papers to passengers about theories and ideals wont get their attention. i used to distribute papers in university, but my papers were about strikes, political prisoners, social movements and such things, not just mere theory. in your particular case, since anarchism has proved to be unfruitful as a leading theory and hasn't achieved a single victory (even in small scale) in history, you have no chance of success unless you change your views.
In my opinion, fliers (or flyers) don't work. It's just another form of advertisement, and people tune them out. I have put many fliers up on walls on many, many bulletin boards. I take a survey during every event I organize. I ask who came because they saw a flier. Out of all the people and all my events, only one person ever raised their hand.
If there is a public bulletin board in town, feel free to post them up. If there are protests, teach ins, or a political film screening nearby, show up and give out fliers there. Those times are when fliers are most effective.
When you just leave them around, people will ignore them or a right-winger will throw them away. If you must give out fliers, give them out on the street. Most people won't have time to talk, so it won't take all day. But when they do stop to talk, you may be meeting an open minded person. It might be worth it to take the time to talk. If you just leave it around, people may see it, even other anarchists, but they won't get in touch with you. I don't know why. But they won't. That has been my experience.

Personally, I'd recommend just talking to friends and family about Politics. These are the people who voluntarily spend time with you- and so long as you don't go into "rant mode" and shout them down like happens on revleft (it's hard, I know)- they'll probably the people who will listen and hear you out if you pick the right moment and be respectful.
Honestly, the 'dripping tap' approach (talking about something they may not have heard about) is probably more effective in changing someone's politics by exposing them to new or different ideas than fliers [but this is a guess, and I'm not speaking from experience- good on you for trying].
Plus- you can't bullsh*t them. They'll know and you'll hate yourself for it. That's a skill worth learning and really encourages you to examine your own beliefs.
