I see some NIMBY's being irrational and fail to connect this to any working class strivings.

Recently there were protests at some factory in Shanghai because of some change to the payment plan, despite that it would increase what the workers were paid, because of rumours and nationalist sentiment (the manager was a Japanese national; if only they were dominated by a Chinese manager instead!). There's nothing like stirring nationalist and irrational controversy to detract and defuse labour militancy. This seems like a shit protest to be honest.
The revolutionary despises public opinion. He despises and hates the existing social morality in all its manifestations. For him, morality is everything which contributes to the triumph of the revolution. Immoral and criminal is everything that stands in its way.
