My interests in Lenin and Khrushchev helped inspire me to be a communist, but I'd have to say Emma Goldman and Peter Kropotkin more so now
"But here steps in Satan, the eternal rebel, the first free-thinker and emancipator of worlds. He makes man ashamed of his bestial ignorance and obedience; he emancipates him, stamps upon his brow the seal of liberty and humanity, in urging him to disobey and eat of the fruit of knowledge." ~Mikhail Bakunin

Buenaventura Durruti and Nestor Mahkno are two of my biggest role models. They both fought with every ounce of strength they had for the emancipation of their class and for the realization of anarchy. Durruti even died for it. The combination of intellect, courage, and a warrior spirit made these men exceptional in my eyes.
Marxism is a revolutionary worldview that must always struggle for new revelations. Marxism must abhor nothing so much as the possibility that it becomes congealed in its current form. It is at its best when butting heads in self-criticism, and in historical thunder and lightning, it retains its strength. - Rosa Luxumburg

    The red power ranger.
"We have seen: a social revolution possesses a total point of view because – even if it is confined to only one factory district – it represents a protest by man against a dehumanized life" - Marx

"But to push ahead to the victory of socialism we need a strong, activist, educated proletariat, and masses whose power lies in intellectual culture as well as numbers." - Luxemburg

I don't think there are any leftists I'd classify as my role models. My role models are people who are, or have been, important in my life. In fact given what I know about the lives of many of the politic figures I take influence from, there are lots of things I wouldn't want to emulate.

I find fictional characters to be really inspiring like for example I think Dr. Sophia Lamb from Bioshock 2 is one if the coolest characters ever to me. Aside from Bane from Dark Knight Rises. I also am really into Bakunin, B F Skinner and Žižek. Though to be perfectly honest my biggest role model and person I look up too the most would be Jane Goodall; that'd be pretty cool if I was like the next Jane Goodall but with big cats.

They're maybe no role models insofar, but Rosa Luxemburg and Hannah Arendt have been fascinating to me even in my teenage years, which means a lot, because I used to be pretty bored by political stuff in general.

    Big Bill Haywood.

Wobbly, Union organizer, labor agitator, early advocate for racial equality in labor representation, saboteur, firebrand, old school American Ass-kicker.

His name alone could make a boss's man shit his pants.

Dominic McGlinchey and Lenin are my favourite roll models
"Of all the politicians and political people with whom I have had conversations, and whom I have had conversations, and who called themselves followers of Connolly, he was the only one who truly understood what James Connolly meant when he spoke of his vision of the freedom of the Irish people."
    - Nora Connolly, daughter of James Connolly, speaking of Seamus Costello shortly after his assassination
