Smile Does anyone believe Stalin was better than Goulash communism?

Stalinism gives more emphasis on industry and does not pay attention to consumer goods. On the other hand Goulash communism (Hungarian communism) focuses on consumer goods. Take your pick what do you think is right ?

Both are capitalist, so why would I choose one?

Don't get me started on people confusing the word "Stalinism".
But according to what you have to say about both of them...meh, no strong feelings either way, surely you can have industry that produces "nicer" things.

Didn't Hungary fuel their production of consumer goods through loans? I know that Romania did so. It just wasn't sustainable.
