The fact that I just got a call from my boss's boss, who told me that the person I'm a support worker for, has decided to use some of his own money, as well as take advantage of some program offered by the Canadian government, to make donations to a savings account for each staff member, as a bonus. What? Best news ever, looks like I got to go get a savings account now, which I've been meaning to do for a while anyways. Sometimes this line of work can leave you feeling really unappreciated, but the moments like this more then make up for it. That was such a nice and unexpected thing for him to do.

Pwning people about Marxism in my school's debating society. The topic was: This house believes Communism works...

    Before speeches:
    For: 3
    Against: 4
    Abstain: 8

    After speeches and floor-debate:
    For: 13
    Against: 1
Abstain: 2 (some guy joined during)

I am quiet proud of it, made some jaws drop.

Today was the first time in a long time that I didn't wake up before my alarm. I'm still chronically sleep-deprived, but it was still pretty awesome

Sleep Off to bed after a loooong day on 2 hours sleep.
"Her development, her freedom, her independence must come from and through herself. First, by asserting herself as a personality, and not as a sex commodity. Second, by refusing the right to anyone over her body; by refusing to bear children unless she wants them; by refusing to become a servant to God, the State, society, the husband, the family, etc. ... by freeing herself from the fear of public opinion and public condemnation. Only that, and not the ballot, will set woman free, will make her a force hitherto unknown in the world, a force for real love, for peace, for harmony; a force of divine fire, of life-giving; a creator of free men and women."

A few grams of some colorful bud and a nice stack of anarchist or Marxist literature.

^ For some reason I skimmed over the middle of that sentence and wondered why you would measure literature in grams. My brain is really failing me today... Probably still sleep deprived.

I guess I must've been underpaid for my childcare last year because I got some money from the student loan company after sending back my childcare cost confirmation form. I'm not overdrawn anymore! Yay!

Hey, give us a recap of whatever you can remember about the debate and what points you made. I'm sure there will be stuff worth learning from it, even for those that have been here forever.
