    Default Finally bit the bullet...

    And decided to register here.

Despite rumours of purges and compulsory evening prayers to the Supreme Leaders, I have browsed and things don't seem nearly as terrible as they said to be elsewhere.

While the politics of many on here may make me feel uncomfortable as an Anarchist, its a hell of a lot better than a capitalist fora, and I believe I have more in common with the grand majority of those on here than I do with any SocDem or 'liberal'.

    Welcome.

I've recently joined myself and so far haven't run into any problems.

But then again, maybe as a Marxist-Leninist I'm just too comfortable with purges and praising our glorious all knowing leadership (I'm joking of course ).

I think there are other Anarchists active on the boards, so you should fit right in.

Besides, if worst comes to worst a few years in a reeducation through labor camp will sort out those Anarchist tendencies if they really cause problems.

    Once again. Welcome.

Remember many of us on the socialist side of the border were anarchists once -- and vice versa. The border between the two is much more porous than the defenders of orthodoxy would have you believe. (I would strongly recommend reading Victor Serges autobiography.)

That's all very well in practice, but how will it work in theory?

Hi, welcome to Revleft Hope you like it here.
"Her development, her freedom, her independence must come from and through herself. First, by asserting herself as a personality, and not as a sex commodity. Second, by refusing the right to anyone over her body; by refusing to bear children unless she wants them; by refusing to become a servant to God, the State, society, the husband, the family, etc. ... by freeing herself from the fear of public opinion and public condemnation. Only that, and not the ballot, will set woman free, will make her a force hitherto unknown in the world, a force for real love, for peace, for harmony; a force of divine fire, of life-giving; a creator of free men and women."
    ~ Emma Goldman

You do realize that anarchists are socialists right?
Unless we are referring to individualist anarchists, which there are practically none here.
"The people have proved that they can run it... They (the pigs) can call it what they want to, they can talk about it. They can call it communism, and think that that's gonna scare somebody, but it ain't gonna scare nobody" ― Fred Hampton

Well Individual Anarchism is inherently anti-capitalist, and I assume they would often employ socialist methods.
