Default marxist view sources of the fall of the SU?

Is anyone aware of good (marxist, socialist) sources on the fall of the SU and the end of the cold war? It's for a school project. Thanks.

I... actually saw a short website that did look at it from a left-wing point of view, that capitalism and the West's influence was the reason it fell and the West has ever since tried blaming it on the failures of communism (although it never took root in the first place, so...)
Unfortunately, for the life of me, I can't find it. I just remember it had a very blatant title, "The True Reason Why The Soviet Reason Fell", or something along those lines...

You've written an extremely ingenious materialist analysis there. Engels would love it. No one should take "that man" seriously - why? Because he is "Harper" Brar! (or did you mean Harpal?) A terrific argument and needless to say, it's totally based on the Marxist method of dialectical materialism!

Much better than others I'm used to read on this forum (Stalin!! :O Mao!! :O). Obviously I'm not going to expect you to actually THINK. Nononono, that would require a lot of work!

Facts, etc.. - no. Those are too much related to the real world - and, you know, one should always avoid such things.

Moreover, all of that might even require you to use that weird thing in between your ears!

Oh yeah I forgot how un-Marxist it is to judge the merits of a writer

Yet you use materialist analysis? Strawmen and ad hominem attacks are not materialist analysis!
Segui il tuo corso e lascia dir le genti.

Socialism resides entirely in the revolutionary negation of the capitalist ENTERPRISE, not in granting the enterprise to the factory workers.

Harpal Brar upholds North Korea and China not just as bastions of anti-imperialism, but as actual examples (currently, not historically) of Socialism. On that basis we can judge he has no credibility, I would say.
