Dunno if this is good advice, but what i've found is helpful is:
Persistence is useful, but overrated. There are 7 billion people on this planet, and if you think that the one who doesn't love you back is right for you, you are deluded.
Rejection is a fact of life, be it employment related, emotional or to do with coffee and your stomach lining. Embrace it, try yourself in places where you wouldn't normally do so, to assimilate the idea of moving forwards consistently.
Being natural around someone is the best way to find a good match. We all feel the pressure to try our best and be oh-so-fucking wonderful, but a few jokes of your own making and a smile will work more efficiently than pretending you are something you aren't.
