    Default Summer Fashion Thread

Summer has been raging here for a while, but for those of you lucky enough to live in a fairer climate, summer is just around the corner. So I'd imagine some of you are like me and already planning out your summer wardrobe. It's been a few years since I've bought new summer clothes and my wardrobe is painfully depleted. I'm looking forward to throwing a pay check at replenishing it, though I doubt I'll be able to find or afford half of whats on my list. I've got my own particular style, but I'm curious to know what styles you guys and gals are going to be rocking this summer. Post your wardrobe below!

Whats on my Summer Wardrobe List

    Shirts:

I've never been a big fan of t-shirts and I get hot easily so light linen shirts are essential for me. I tend to wear various light blues and whites usually with stripes, though on occasion I'll throw in a light green, light pink, or pale yellow for some flare.

    Pants:

White and light brown/tan khakis are my par of course, though I tend to wear light blue jeans fairly often as well, especially with the white shirts.

    Shoes:

Summer is the time I wear most of the shoes on my shoe rack. On a normal day I'll probably be strolling along in either my boat shoes or brown loafers. When I hit the beach I prefer the brown flip-flop. They look equally good with both khakis and linen shirts I wear over my swim wear and my trunks when I'm swimming. Wearing them while not at the beach though is a cardinal fashion sin, imo. And I'll bust out my oxfords on the rare occasion I actually wear socks, usually to go with a suit. Speaking of which....

    Suits:

Suits like anything in the unbearable heat of the Florida summer are best in linen and light colors. This has proven true on the rare occasions I find a suit in the right size and price and have the dosh to get it. I also enjoyed rocking the classic double breasted naval blazer with white khakis and deck shoes when I had one that fit me. I'd like to find another.

    Hats and Belts:

During the summer most of my hats never see the light of day. The exception being my trusty straw cuban fedora. Generally speaking I detest the tiny fedoras due to my big head, but it's pretty easy to find straw ones that aren't dwarfed by my big head and they are light and airy, keeping me cool even in the hottest days of July and August. As for the brown leather belt, they're pretty much essential, they complete the outfit by pulling it all together while complimenting the brown in the footwear.

i've got a good start on summer shirtwise, got some nice polos in different colors, some good button ups, etc. need a few more light sweaters though for those (rare) chilly nights. on my list of things to pick up right now...

    pants

a nice pair of salmon trousers

can't go wrong with seersucker (besides being dry clean only, grumble)

also considering picking up a pair of yellow or white pants, but not sure yet might be a little too loud.

    suits

need a good linen suit, especially since i have a wedding to goto

also need to pick up a tan or navy blazer or both to go with the new pants for a nice spezzato look

    shoes

boat shoes are a must of course. i already have other nice shoes, some suede oxfords, suede desert boot, oxblood brogues and some black loafers will be seeing heavy rotation and my polo sneakers for a more sporty look

thats pretty much what i have on my 'to get' list, probably thrift some good stuff throughout though

It's not summer in San Fransisco.

I take the tags off of these and they do nice.

This is what I wear pretty much every day of the year. Starting from my beanie to glasses to the hoddie to the pants to the shoes. Cheap and simple. Except for the glasses.

    Shirts:

Sometimes I'll wear regular t shirts but I like V necks

    Pants:

I wouldn't wear black pants with a black shirt though. I'm not in highschool anymore.

    Shoes:

    Some battered DCs or converse.

I would get better clothes but I'm broke right now.

t-shirts, shorts (usually cutoff pants, shortish gym shorts, cargo shorts, or random nice shorts found at thrift stores), and either skateboard shoes or no shoes. and shorts always have to be completely above the knee or else you are defeating the purpose of shorts. fuck wearing pants during the summer.

    Wayfarer glasses.
    Black shirt.
    Levi's jeans.
    All year every year
Is this resistance or a costume party?
Either way I think black with bandanas is a boring theme.

Wow, I always thought fashion would be considered bourgeois on a leftist website...

Anyway, I really like fashion but I hardly ever dress fashionably. For me, summer clothing is a tank top, shorts, and flip flops. I also like dresses, but I usually don't have the right occasion in the summer to wear them.

Where ever I can find them and get them cheap. Usually a combination of walmart/k-mart type places, discount stores like Ross, and thrift stores. Occasionally the swankier places will have really good deals and I'll swoop in and grab some stuff cheap.

Plain black shirt/black metal shirt/punk shirt with either cut off khaki shorts or black skinny jeans, ratty white vans stained with blood and 2 stroke oil/gas, no socks, backwards hat, fake raybans.

If I need to class it up, then I switch the tshirt to an oxford button down, and the shoes to boat shoes.

i mean, i like trainers ("sneakers" as you lot call them) a lot, and some stuff from brands like stussy, but "street wear" is basically the standard look for guys in the uk right now, and has been for the last year and a half. it looks boring and tacky to me, tbh.

i also don't really dig the great gatsby prep stuff. it can be alright if you can properly pull it off, but most of the time guys look dweeby and lame in it imo. trying too hard.

I wear llrge black jeans cut off mid ankle or below knee (never above) with my black work boots or my red-white-black nikes.

For shirts i wear black hoodies, layered large solid t shirts (grey or red under black), or grey/black under shirts with a light button plaid jacket. Like what Ray is wearin below (mines diff color tho)

lol, i don't think you can dismiss the entirety of streetwear like that, there's more to it than supreme
i like black scale and only ny
i can understand why some people who are into fine, proper, boring things would hate all of it but you don't strike me as that sort

no like, only ny was massive here in late 2011 / early 2012. couldn't walk around without seeing half a dozen people wearing the same snapbacks, tshirts and sweaters. maybe i'm just being a snob, but it's pretty boring when everyone is in the same shit. that's not to say they haven't put out some nice stuff i wouldn't wear, i'm just tired of the look.

s'all about balance for me. i like people who take elements from everything as part of their look, i don't like it when people go out and buy a wardrobe. you can have "fashion" without having style imo.

e: not that any of this applies to you, i dunno how you dress, just my reasoning. i'm most definitely not into "fine, proper, boring things".
