The mind is its own place, and in itself Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven. What matter where, if I be still the same, And what I should be, all but less than he Whom thunder hath made greater?

I was expecting this to be about Mel Gibson![]()
no unmasking necessary there, i mean, i detest most of those annoying Hollywood liberals and even most supposed radicals but compared to what the right has to show???
chuck norris is now just downright creepy, mel gibson is a booze addled jew-hater, even clint eastwood, who's principled libertarianism (pro-gay marriage and legalization) i could still kind of respect is now bumbling against empty chairs in a show of embarrassment.

In order for someone to be "unmasked", they have to be wearing a mask in the first place, lol
Moral of this story is, when you've got a dark secret don't tell anyone & repress it real deep...![]()
"Win, lose or draw...long as you squabble and you get down, that's gangsta."
So... is there a good chance Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Jeremy Irons and Michael Bay have attended David Cole's shindigs (NOT alleging they did, in case this is potentially libellous)? What a mindfuck.
All of the people on your list are well known conservatives in Hollywood. The big surprise for me was Gary Oldman who complained that his portrayal of a Republican in the movie the Contender was used by the Director to smear the GOP.
Another surprising right wing is Robert Downey Jr. who said that after his stint in prison it actually turned him into a much more conservative person.
Well I mean has anyone noticed the creeping libertarianism in movies and TV?
Why is this a surprise lol? It was so funny reading that he said conservatives in hollywood are an "oppressed minority" LMAO![]()

Well it's a good thing for him there aren't any Jews in Hollywood.
Men vanish from earth leaving behind them the furrows they have ploughed. I see the furrow Lenin left sown with the unshatterable seed of a new life for mankind, and cast deep below the rolling tides of storm and lightning, mighty crops for the ages to reap.
~Helen Keller
To despise the enemy strategically is an elementary requirement for a revolutionary. Without the courage to despise the enemy and without daring to win, it will be simply impossible to make revolution and wage a people’s war, let alone to achieve victory. ~Lin Biao

Anyone catch the new movie coming out with Oprah and Forrest Whitaker called The Butler? It's about the Civil Rights Movement and how the pacifist servile side was the best along with JFK, while the Black Panthers are depicted as the evil villains. That is what I at least gathered from the trailers.
It seems like lately they've been really purging any radical ideas from Hollywood. I also don't know if actors are whores or what because John Cusak in the film as well as Robin Williams who I assumed were pretty liberal progressive.
They need Denzel or Wesley snipes for that black panther movie. Quentin Tarantino seems like he'd be a socialist
Samuel jackson used to be a black panther.

"[I]t’s hard to keep potent historical truths bottled up forever. New data repositories are uncovered. New, less ideological, generations of historians grow up. In the late 1980s and before, Ann Druyan and I would routinely smuggle copies of Trotsky’s History of the Russian Revolution into the USSR—so our colleagues could know a little about their own political beginnings.”

I think Bobby Seale is working to make a documentary on the Black Panthers, I'd rather watch that than a typical liberal hollywood drama by Oprah or whoever.
“Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”
― John Steinbeck
Sorry to break this to ya but Denzel is a pretty well known Christian conservative type in Hollywood.
QT is not what I would call a socialist or someone who actually has any knowledge in politics. Even though both his movie Inglorious Basterds and Django were supposed to be complete works of fiction, they are still grossly historically ignorant. Cold War era American movies got more basic stuff right than those two films. I for one think the man is extremely ignorant. Creative and a master artist, but utterly ignorant.
Can't say about Sam Jack, but he's made some rather reactionary movies too. I mean I just do not understand actors at all. You think they're these principled people who take stands and then do some pretty reactionary films. For instance why is John Cusak in the movie The Butler anyways? I figured he was a pretty intelligent liberal who could see past the sentimental BS the movie is projecting?
I am beginning to think that a lot of these Hollywood actors are just not that smart.
That was kind of the point of them both, yeah.
Just now?
I'm on some sickle-hammer shit

I was under the impression that he was creating a very fictional campy movie that was not supposed to be remotely historically accurate. I get that. But beyond that it was not just historically inaccurate but historically ignorant. Literally nothing was accurate. Even the slightest little details about the war seemed to be complete fiction. As though QTs never read a history book and all he knew was that there was a war in Europe and the bad guys were German. What I was saying was that even bad campy Cold War era fluff got some stuff right. Inglorious got nothing right. The movies were literally what kids would think of when you question them about history.
And yes, I tended to have a little more faith that actors weren't just complete sell outs and that with all the time and money that they learned something remotely in tune with their supposed beliefs they love to spout. I really thought they knew something but as it turns out the majority of them are actually quite dumb.
Was Samuel L. Jackson really a black panther? (off-topic but I really wanna know).
Yes he held the board of trustees at his college hostage because they refused black studies courses and because of the obvious bullshit trustees do around the country. Now he's a lesser evil democrat.
