Tachosomoza exemplifies the "you're with us or you're against us" attitude which grips populations after these situations.
we're not all engaging in this lunacy, i promise.

with the exception of the poster above the people most reactionary about this seem to be people who don't live here- they've been watching the media make a spectacle out of the issue, showing certain clips over and over as if the explosions were still happening, publishing all manner of social media 'details' as to the life of these young men, flashing images of this kid's face next to pictures of tanks and snipers lining watertown etc.

i feel like if this were a chechen liberation thing someone would have claimed it and the target would have been better connected. this seems like 2 young men, one of them a teenager who has seen his older brother killed, lashing out. they are also bostonians.

people who were treating yesterday like a sporting event and jacking off at all the guns and sirens and choppers are the sick ones.

You're a fucking asshole and I guarantee you you'd get a punch in the mouth if you were in Boston last night.

    And no, I wouldn't, RAFIQ.
I don't give a fuck about your emotional shit slingings. Yes the event was tragic, but the tragedy is not constrained by your magnitudes of spontaneous emotional appeals to chauvinism. I would get punched? And that doesn't change the fact that you're a spineless counter revolutionary who in the midst of feasible circumstances would side with the enemy. If you were in New York during 9/11 you would today be a neoconservative. You're a moron who is unable to articulate events with a materialist understanding because your views are not supported by materialism to begin with, but bullshit emotions.

What's annoying is people deciding to tackle me over my initial post. I didn't say anything about rounding up and executing Chechens, or deporting them. This shit isn't just an argument for me, it's really fucking personal, and me and a lot of other people would like 5 minutes in a room with Tsarnaev with many blunt objects. Again, you don't know anything about us, you're in the Netherlands.
It's personal, hence I'm trying to be civil about this, but you're not even trying to understand what we're trying to convey, what I tried to explain in my initial post. Instead you throw a whole lot of fallacies, then I respond trying to explain it again, you continue to ignore it, and that gets under your skin.

I'm descended from a Jewish immigrant from Portugal and African slaves. I don't hate immigrants, bro.
The problem is that you think that the foreign-ness of the terrorists is some basis for a moral critique of them. As if some very young men who moved here as kids are somehow more morally repugnant because they weren't born in the US.

Your letting your emotional disgust by the culprits of the crime blind you to what you are saying and how you are buying into reactionary rhetoric, even if you are generally supportive of immigrants etc.

    @tachosomoza

    Wait, are you kidding?

You've been criticizing terrorism in which 2 people were killed with all that nationalistic/patriotic bullshit, but I can't see you criticizing US State Terrorism (which has no comparison with any other kind of terrorism) which probably kills more people every hour than the total number of people killed in the Boston explosion. I can't see you criticizing the deaths of millions of Iraqi "8 year old boys" and Afghanis and Yemenis and what not.

    Why this American Exceptionalism?

I mean I can literally find quotes from Bill O'Reilly in your posts. The following are a few examples:

Nah, Boston is one of the most liberal, tolerant cities in the country.
I didn't say my state is free of bigots, clown. I said that it is relatively socially progressive compared to other places.
Why don't you attack the Arabs who enslave women
This is why people despise us.
but don't advocate their right to come to my country
I'm not a jingoist, Boston is my fucking hometown
Don't come to a country decent enough to grant your people asylum and give you money to attend the best schools in the world, to show your gratitude by using our resources to attack us.
And you say you're Not a jingoist?

By the way, is queen not a homophobic slur?
The revolutionary despises public opinion. He despises and hates the existing social morality in all its manifestations. For him, morality is everything which contributes to the triumph of the revolution. Immoral and criminal is everything that stands in its way.

Just take a moment, puts egos aside, and think about how your original comments might be nationalistic. It's not the end of the world. I understand you live in Boston and are caught up in the local anger. I can imagine if Oakland were firebombed by Japan's war planes I might have an urge to shit talk Japan but this is the sort of thing capitalists have depended on to divide the working class. Breaking working class nationalism is a cornerstone of communism. Something that must be totally embraced if communism is to be possible.
Yeah, it sounds nationalistic in hindsight, but I'm not a chauvinist asshole who hates anyone or thinks I'm better than anyone. I don't think that people should come to a place that is better than their own and harm innocents and provoke a reactionary backlash, that's all. I don't live in Boston anymore, but that's my hometown and I grew up there. I'm not shit talking anyone but the bombers.

This is really disturbing. Your statements are not only jingoist, I'd argue that they're openly racist! How can you say "Arabs who enslave women"? I know many Arab men and none of them enslave anyone. They don't need YOU to teach them "democracy" and no, they don't want to come to YOUR country either.

"This is why people despise us"? Seriously? Do you know that Bush said the exact same thing or are you just plain stupid?

And btw, you claim to be a "communist"? o_O
For me, that's really hard to believe.

So addressing the fact that you may have used a homophobic slur, means that he/she needs to get over themselves? If this was my subforum, you'd already have a thread in the mod forum going on, about your potential banning.

I just read about a conspiracy theory on a forum (not related to politics) how it's the cops who are the real bombers and the Chechen guys are scape-goats, and the guy posted how the cops who bombed here also did the Sandy Hook:

I was joking, and he seemed to be going along with it for a while. Chill the fuck out. Banning? I've been contributing here for two years, everyone knows I'm not a homophobe, a jingoist, or any of that other bullshit. You're not banning me for a fucking word.

Perhaps you can't get this through that thick skull of yours, but joking about homophobia is unacceptable here. Can you comprehend that?

Edit: It also wouldn't of been just for that 'word' but also for the reactionary viewpoints that you've espoused here.
