    Default Oakland- Stop And Frisk

It looks like they're about to make it official policy. For years in West Oakland around the ACORN projects it's already been happening but a citywide actual official policy is far worse then the already shifty and racist tactics employed by the OPD. This is bad news (below).

I have been "stopped and frisked" three times just this year in New York City and it is only February. I call the practice WWB (walking while black).

I always wondered how this practice could even be remotely constitutional. It seems like a clear violation of the 4th amendment.

It is a clear violation of the 4'th amendment but, well, we'd be operating on the foundation that bourgeois democracy is democracy if we held the constitution up as a bullet proof source of rights (where are the Ron Paul assholes now?). Clearly they won't be violating the fourth amendment when it comes down to a person walking down the street wearing a suit with an ounce of cocaine in his/her pocket or most white people for that matter.

They've already been doing this for years where I live on a more 'selective' basis, more 'on the under' knowing it's wrong but when the policy is ennacted it's like somehow magiclly it becomes constitutional and police have ZERO fear of lawsuits or any negative repercussions and everyone who is black is suspect with a couple Hispanic and white people thrown in. I've been stopped and frisked walking by ACORN projects twice because I looked like a "drug addict". The racial profiling is what's sinister here though. Here's some info in the city council meeting http://occupyoakland.org/2013/01/oak...photosvideos//

I think it's obvious our "Maoist" Mayor Quan is a weak pushover with no sound morals or real connection with her so called roots. Introducing stop and frisk in neighborhoods that once gave rise to the Black Panthers to fight police brutality, corruption and murder is a sort of sick joke. All of this is going to backfire. They huge amounts of funding for more police and the militarized tactics they're going to use is simply setting the stage for some intense conflict between the community and the police at levels never experienced. More so than after the Oscar Grant Murder and more so after the four cops were killed. She's a fucking idiot, either that or a genius who is goading the community into a frenzy of activism but I think that's highly unlikely. I'll stick with idiot. Maybe not an idiot, she knows what she's doing. Scoundrel is more like it.
