Default LAPD executes a man as he runs away, then shoots him again as he lies the ground

Just when you thought the LAPD couldn't get anymore out of control. The actual footage of the shooting starts at about 2:14

Any real change implies the breakup of the world as one has always known it, the loss of all that gave one an identity, the end of safety. And at such a moment, unable to see and not daring to imagine what the future will now bring forth, one clings to what one knew, or dreamed that one possessed. Yet, it is only when a man is able, without bitterness or self-pity, to surrender a dream he has long possessed that he is set free - he has set himself free - for higher dreams, for greater privileges.”

I wonder if this along with the whole Dorner situation will spark some kind of reform to or investigation of the LAPD..... Probably not, but a man can hope can't he?

I swear, it's almost like the LAPD wants another riot

Yes! Let the cops investigate their own crimes! Then, let rapists and murderers investigate rapes and murders! Genius!

Cop said he was "afraid for his life." Bullshit. You don't chase someone and shoot them in the back when you're afraid for your life. This and the cops who shot at a mother and her daughter because she was supposedly driving a pickup truck that looked like Dorner's? Fuck. ACAB.

If that was directed at my hope for an investigation of the LAPD, obviously it should be done by an outside, accountable and neutral body. If not, then I wholeheartedly agree with your sarcasm, well really I agree either way, you know what I mean.

It was sarcasm at the police chiefs in the video who said they investigated it.

I'm a little confused as well, the media story in the video above says it happened two years ago.

recently in LA when some pigs shot at a crowd of protesters, who were the family of a man who was just shot by LAPD, sparked lost of street action there were 2 other police murders that were not reported on because they did not want to fuel backlash, remember when pigs in military fatigues were around disneyland last year?

Or we could have the police chief become merely an adviser to a board of elected officials analogous to a citizens' police council that would make all the final decisions. That would be superior to the current system.

I am surprised that the Justice Department hasn't crack down on the LAPD?

They put the hammer on the Seattle PD for it's attacks against the mentally ill, homeless, and minorities.

Or we could replace it with an armed people's militia composed of everyone in the neighborhood. But that's just be being a dirty commie again I suppose.

I was making a joke. The US military has nothing like that. If a crime is committed it is up to the chain of command to investigate, and they often ignore it to cover up their own asses. Watch the documentary "The Invisible War" if you haven't already, very eye-opening.
