Woman dies after care provider shut down by UKBA

A woman in her 80s left at home in Surrey without medication, food, or water for nine days after a care agency shut down has died in hospital.

Gloria Foster was admitted to Epsom Hospital nearly two weeks ago after being found at her home in Banstead.

Her home care provider, Carefirst24 in Sutton, south London closed after a raid by the UK Border Agency (UKBA).

That reminds me of ICE here in the states. As far as I understand the article they hit the agency for employing illegal immigrants.

It's hypocritical for these people going on about immigrants wrecking the economy and such, often employing retirees to their own benefit claiming that those immigrants are somehow receiving more "benefits" than they are. Yet here we see an example of a dumb policy that not only affects those working there but those who relied on their services. All just for some MPs to proudly boast they're keeping jobs for British citizens and protecting pension funds. What bullshit.
