Okay, here I am in the middle of Ontario remember back to a year ago when by Christmas we had enough snow to through people into while on the traditional family walk around the nieghbour hood. Today it was close to 10degrees celsius out. I am wondering, is winter cheating anyone else this year?

In the eyes of "our friends" at the "Monolith Power & Light Company", this is shaping up as a "terrible" winter with temperatures thus far well above the Siberian level that nets them the enormous profits to which they aspire.

The temperatures in the American southeast are about 60 degrees F as I write...they hate that!

    Abolish winter!

Well in the eyes of such people as skiiers (downhill, crosscountry), snowshowers, hunters, winter campers, ect this is also a horrible winter. Our snow is gone. It is such things of this that makes me more and more worried that something 'big' is about to happen. The speculation could kill a man.

Nah I'm here in Edmontonthe last couple of winters have been kind of weird, but this one is finally back to normal. Just enough snow and - 20 ish. so despite globall warming I think this weird weather is just atemp. flux and things are slowly returning to normal. I kind of like winter. :P

    I've noticed this too.

I live in Ontario, and yesterday, where I live, the temperature was 10 degrees celsius! Trees were starting to bud!

I'm not a fan of snow (in fact, I hate the white crap), however, I AM a fan of a healthy ecosystem, and this isn't healthy at all. <_<

The winter has been typical here. It was the summer that scared me, we had over a month without rain!! The dryest year in record!

I am, aswell, from Ontario. Basically I walked to and from the grocery in the rain with my spring jacket on. Very unclimate. On the only other non-white late decemebers me or my parents can remember it was a cool drizzle bordering on freezing rain, not a common spring shower. Strange as all this is, last year snow came and stayed later than usual. We had our last blizzard in April, when the snow is usually mostly gone.

    Wierd things.

Ahh, so over night we got a cm or two, and it hasn't melted. Perhaps winter is finally coming to us, beginning in 2004. I would laugh if it lasted longer than last year, when the last blizzard struck on April 1.

Jan. 5th, finally I think its here to stay (im in the Toronto region, 1 hour south-west) looks like I can finally bust out the winter tires and the snowboard . But damn, it took me 50 minutes to get to school this morning which normally takes me 10-15 minutes...I saw like 4 people in the ditch, why does that happen every year? dont the people know by now?...sigh...But it is nice to finally see the snow.

Yeah, here in New York so far we haven't had the usual brutal winter that Fuel oil companies depend on... haha... but I hear it's supposed to drop by the end of the week.

Bha, who cars about the fuel and oil companies.. this can't be good for the environment in general (or it may be a 'sign&#39.. anyways I am worried.. but not paranoid.

We have snow now. It's been snowing all day, and will be -17 tomorrow *cheers*

two years ago, we had 4 straight weeks in spring where it rained at least every other day. then we had 3 months where it rained, at best, 4 times. Not only did our spring crops wash out into the yard (with our topsoil! ), but our fall crops burnt up as seedlings in the summer. today, it's about 60 degrees, which is really warm. I wish it was colder, though. I love winter.

I do!! Well, I don't care if they make money... but I do care if people use their boilers more... as I still make money doing plumbing when I'm not in college classes... and I usually make more money during the winter than any other time of the year... with boiler repair, frozen water pipes... etc...

While other trades make less money in the winter, Plumbers make out like bandets.. hahaha...
